nothing has changed...the DM remains the only newspaper to tell it like it is....that seems to annoy people.

It isn't really still going - it just looks like it because it's stickied.

Summary of events:
Column appears late at night on subject of "hellidays" with children. Everyone says "this is rubbish" etc. Some people observe that the content is largely old posts from an old but recently bumped thread. Some speculation and mild outrage ensues. Column disappears from online Mail and further speculation ensues as well as some disappointment from posters who wanted to leave DM style comments. MN says "we know nothing but the Mail says the internet has run out of space" (or something), provoking some excellent comedy from Swedes and Morningpaper. Think that's about it.

I was going to dereg and then MP cunningly quoted me in the MN roundup for the first time ever - and in connection with 1) zombies and 2) Anne Boleyn so my life was complete. So I am sucked in for life in gratitude.

pofaced... not just Twitter, though, with FaceBook and Bebo, and probably 100 or more I've never heard of (and certainly not gone looking for).

Found one of my (4) nephews on Bebo the other month, and wondered what his father said (if he had seen that photo!) (Niece and nephews are all over 20 now, but he may have still been at Uni when the photo was taken, and just pulling a silly face, when out, so not that shocking really)

A good thing too Swedes - I have reason to believe Twitter is an EU conspiracy to fritter away the lives of British teens.

Pofaced - I'm livid that the internet is full. I've just splashed out £254 on a Twit Fit Spellchecker Pedant so my children can get some exercise and improve their grammar whilst using Twitter - it requires you to raise your eyebrow (alternating between left and right) when you read a Tweet with a spelling or grammatical error.

It sounds a pretty feeble excuse from them, perhaps someone hoping that a bit of waffle about computers will be acceptable. Given that www.Archive.org samples web pages over the months and can display pages from years ago, then either the DM is running its website on a clapped out IBM 386, or someone is imagining they can 'run out of space' and have to remove an article so fast, it is online for less than half a day.

If anything is going to 'run out of space' then logic suggests wiping out the oldest articles, as in that old computing phrase "garbage in, garbage out" (no particular reference to the DM, by that, of course )
