I'm sorry to do this, I'm sure if I read 2000+ posts I would understand but please could someone explain the DM business to me

Because I thought the DM was a paper we loved to post links to in order to take the piss at its general dreadfulness, particularly the way its editor hates women.

And now it seems there is some sort of tie in? Do they not understand irony?

Is that what is going on? And if so, who thought this was a good idea?

No-one else is writing newspaper columns based on their chats on MN so I don't think she deserves the same protection as everyone else. I would be keen to avoid chatting to her if i know there's a chance my comments will end up in the DM.

Rafi, it is both the new And old name that mn are deleting, insofar as either of them are mentioned in a context linking them to the DM articles.

It is the link to the DM articles that is key, not when those names of referred to on a standalone basis.

Anyone know the new name?

How realistic is that though? You ban someone's name, they can re-register under a new one. You ban someone's IP address, they use another machine.
