I want to get in touch with a MNer but can't remember her new nickname......so I clicked contact poster on an old thread with her old name and.....

it says that there isn't a user with that nickname.

Is that because she has changed nickname so it's no longer active or because she has deregistered completely?

possibly not but I could if you care to name change quickly?

ie I can search for lackadaisycal if you change to something else for a moment!

I have trying to find jules from the knickercheckers. I know she changed her name to snoopdog but no sign of her since Jan this year.

Not sure if she has deregged.

I think it means that my missing MNer must have deregged

shame as she was a great support to lots of people on the miscarriage boards.

No, I have tried it with a few namechanges I know, the ones that are not current names say "not known" the ones that are current names don't IYSWIM, none of them are deregistered AFAIK.

Ooh, maybe not, using the namechange I know (ie the name someone was but is not now) it says "XXXX has chossen not to accept CAT" so I am not sure what that means - at least I am consistantly unhelpfull - sorry

I think I have found it says that even if they have just namechanged - hang on I will try it outwith a namechanger that I know....

I think, LackaDAISYcal, it means she's deregistered. (Although she could, of course, have re-registered under a new name and come back since.)

D'ya want me to check with BigTech in the morning?
