*** PLEASE COME VOTE*****`MN christmas meet

right as always we have had some squabbling óver where this years christmas meet will be.
if you are hoping to attend please couldyou indicate below by adding your name to either the Birmingham or London list.
if you could attend either then please put your name on both lists.

basically, whichever list has the most people thats where it will be held.

And for thosewho will complain that its still only june, christmas bookings for large parties like this are needed to be booked well in advance so we need to have at least the basics of which city we are using.

well milton keynes has actually got good transport,it was designed to! A1 is close by and its on the M1,with good links to other major roads. great train links also.....

very easy to get to,and cheap accomadation.

Taunton sounds like an excellent plan. I could combine with house-hunting.

Failing that can I suggest Budapest?

Are you really only allowed out of Somerset once a year MP? Is that a general rule?

I agree with QuintessentialShadows - why have only one? There's nothing stopping us having a few - wherever there's a demand surely?

And like Custardo says they should be on different dates. The hardcore among you could go to both

FWIW my vote's for London.

Also, the reason London (and, I guess, Birmingham) is a fairer choice than somewhere actually geographically central is that it's a transport hub - all roads lead to London as it were (and high speed rail links / late night transport etc). Somewhere geographically central won't actually be as accessible for as many people, particularly those using public transport.

I think the 'sticky' title just needs to change to 'Xmas meet'

i think there should be different dates for each so that if you can't make one - you could go to another - rather than all on same night.

i might consider b/ham as i have to do my 'nothern' xmas duties around that time.

I might go to the london one just for a drug free mind fuck.

Other than that:
a) anyone who has ever been there after 6pm will NEVER want to go back

I used to live in a place that had a sign saying geographic centre of the UK (or was it midway between the Atlantic and the Pacific) anyway it was a little place just outside Leamington Spa.

It was horrid though - dont have any meetups there...there was only a spar, a dodgy pub and a chippy anyway...

[Apologies to anyone who lives in aforementioned place, this was nigh on 20 years ago and it may well have changed - awkward disclaimer over]
