The "Thank You" Mumsnet thread

Right can we try to make this the longest thread in the whole of MN? Because as a parent I have found it a source of help, strength and definitely laughter, in a "spit coffee over the monitor" sort of way!

I've been on web forums for donkeys year - I sent my first email in 1988 - and I have to say this is one of the nicest and also most fun forums I've ever seen. Not to mention morally supportive.

The girls who run this site really deserve a vote of thanks.

So here is my start: Thanks!

(Oh and I'd also like to thank Cbeebies for the free babysitting!)

Thankyou all and an extra thankyou to the Mumsnetters who completed my guardian Survey I did on here a few months ago. I got a distinction for that essay

Mamazon simply knowing that there people out there in a similar boat to mine has helped a lot. I'm probably a spoilt thing in many ways but there are needier people than me e.g., I was touched by the 18 year old girl who was on here needing support earlier. Better minds than mine can help, with loads more ideas than I can ever give.

What on earth is wrong in calling them girls? If I call them "ladies" will I get caned for that too? Or shall I use "persons"?

This calls for a defending return blow....

i cannot agree more. especially given the amazing supoprt i have received recently.
this site has always been dear to me and i have always championed the intellect and laughter here, i'v always known how fabulous you all are and how far you go to support one another. but to be on the recieving end of that support is something altogether different.

it really is tear inducingly comforting to know taht there are people out there, that have never met you, who know only what you tell them on a screen, and yet they are willing to put themselves out ( sometimes in quite a massive way) just to be of help to you.

words cannot describe the love i have for this site and the members of it.

your all fabulous and i hope that this thread runs and runs.
