Hi there
As you can imagine we've had a few complaints this morning about some of the comments and allegations made against MJ. Our policy normally is not to delete posts on the grounds of distaste as what is distasteful to one is another person's idea of humour, however in this situation, given that someone has just died, we're finding it hard to just leave things. So we thought we'd ask you. Do you think comments such as 'I hope he burns' and the onslaught of MJ jokes should be deleted or left in the name of free speech? Let us know your thoughts.

The sort of things that are being said are pretty nasty, but can understand why deleting them isn't really a practical option.
Can you find a way of marking particularly tasteless threads somehow?
Colour them cat-sick colour or something??

I don't know if the rumours have, but my DH is already thinking it... wondering if it's a stunt to get out of having to pay his enormous debts.

I keep reading this thread title as 'Michael Jackson in moderation'. A sort of hushed tones/quiet contemplation thread on the subject . (Which of course it's not)

I agree with what people have said about one thread only, or maybe 2 threads, one for discussion which allows the open forum of free expression, and then perhaps a condolence one for those who just want to post a thought for someone who has only just died.
