We ask because obviously we know the harsh reality but we're looking to reveal all put a pic on our Twitter page. So, we'd love to hear your ideas on what you want to see at Mumsnet Towers.
The Shed?
Justine's untidy desk corner office?
Our Studio60 style countdown clock to the full moon?
MNHQ's feral children creche?
TIA as ever

LOL at you both.

Have just realized that all my many 'interestingly complex' quirks, viewpoints, pleasures and pains could accurately be precis'd to 'mardy guardianista'. I am utterly reducible

you forgot the reeking cigarette-smoke, Swedes, which seeps from the crack at the bottom of the door. And the tea-stained mugs. I think I know who the Orla Kiely one belongs to, and the one in the shape of Darth Vader - but whose is the one that reads 'jesus loves you (everyone else thinks you're an arsehole)'

MN Towers is the staff room. Justine wears a red Diadora tracksuit, wedge trainers with gold laces and has a whistle on a rope round her neck. If you knock on the staff room door, she'll open it only a weeny crack and give you her impatient, stary-eyes breadknife look.

Dearthworm · 08/06/2009 06:54

... and a huge laser display board to flash up the most amusingly humiliating typos.

Dearthworm · 08/06/2009 05:52

Oh, yes, def splatter diagrams/ "The spray of droplets from left to right indicates a dispute started by a mardy guardianista, and perpetuated by a rascist with pmt."

And they have some special scales for weighing the spleens removed during dissection.

onebatmother · 07/06/2009 23:47

Ah, worm, I really didn't know! But you are quite right..

And I think they all look like that northern irish actress who was a post-mortem person.. Beautiful wwith clever glasses, pointy sticks and splatter diagrams for nights of heavy MN bloodletting.

cariboo · 07/06/2009 21:52

Actually, MNT is probably someone's kitchen...

cariboo · 07/06/2009 21:43

I always imagine the doomed twin towers of the WTC or some crenulated medieval fortress

fortyplus · 07/06/2009 20:09

I always imagine a Victorian terrace house somewhere like Notting Hill - house spread over about 5 floors with the top 2 given over to MN. Tech beavering away down in the basement and the rest of you having to remember to take him/her coffee!

Dearthworm · 07/06/2009 16:44

Which is what you meant, I suppose, but were subtle enough to leave implicit.

Dearthworm · 07/06/2009 13:37

Because they are the professionals required to officiate over scenes of dysfunction and bloodletting? They don't want to contaminate be contaminated by the scene.

onebatmother · 07/06/2009 13:05

I imagine they wear those CSI overshoes. I don't know why.

gigglewitch · 07/06/2009 12:18

well I am probably going to get banned from mn for this but just so you can have a laugh before you evict me, here are my thoughts on the appearance of mn towers...

I reckon it's like a WW2 bunker, big concrete thing (sorry I can't say it's like a disney fairy palace which i am sure is the image that you want to conjure up ) - with a few green computer monitors and a couple of enormous maps - world domination planned and each of the mners with little red pins and their names labelled to their location (my goodness my mind is warped) Interestingly there is a huge kitchen table in the centre of the control room...
There is a row of little sheds outside in the distance, wherein the poor overworked Techs sit staring at their computers, occasionally going apprehensively to the end shed to make sure the server hasn't demised, in between eating their cheese sarnies and inventing cool new smilies and stuff

EyeballshasBackBoobs · 07/06/2009 07:46

I think it's like the philadelphia ad. You're sitting at desks in white fluffy clouds (not dead though obv) and you've all got white dresses and corkscrewy hair

HuffwardlyRudge · 07/06/2009 07:24

I assume you have a massive bank of monitors each trained on a Mumsnetter. A bit like in Men in black.

PerfectPrefect · 06/06/2009 23:19

Do you know what. Out of all these diverse and wide ranging images I think the one thing which is almost gurantee'd is that the desk/room/cubby hole that Tech(s) works from almost certainly has a name plate/some reference to "the shed".

FlyMeToDunoon · 06/06/2009 21:51

It's a grey concrete high rise in central London, like that yucky building at the junction of Oxford St and New Oxford St.
Filthy grey carpet.
Desks covered in papers,
freebies[nappies, crocs, sudocreme, snakes, etc] coffee cups, breast pumps and sleeping techies.
Dishevelled women wander about dazed and confused or sleep across their desks, their stained White Stuff skirts and Boden embellished tops covered in dust, snot and throw up.
A room full of Cod memorabilia.
A dungeon full of trolls in chains.

Outside the world is a wasteland of zombies.

The messages from the survivors keep coming in.
Lost in a world of their own devising..............

PinkTulips · 06/06/2009 19:10

a gleaming silver high rise... like one of those ones in tokyo that are so shiny the other high rises are reflected in them.

weirdly though i imagine the techs to live in a little cupboard in the high rise... round about the middle somewhere. it's a small cupboard with bits of splintery exposed cheap pine and steel girders cutting across corners and a small colony of spiders lurking in a corner. they work with a banjaxed old desktop (crt monitor ) and squabble over who gets to take the blame when they change things.

NationalFlight · 06/06/2009 19:09

Oh dear I keep saying twit in the car at the moment in an effort to curtail my inner fishwife. It amuses the kids but I have now realised it still looks like I am yelling TWAT to anyone in a BMW nother car.

LeninGrad - I called someone a pretentious twit. Calling someone a cocksuckingmotherfucker is OK, but pretentious twit oversteps the mark apparently. MNHQ won't tolerate Tory-toff-style insults, if you are going to bad maaaaaaf someone, you have to swear like a fucker.

Well the ticky off corner is on the opposite side of the room to the troll corner. I would imagine ticky off corner is in the large conservatory, just off the kitchen, so we can see in and gloat.
