Why does MN keep breaking?

Oops, forgot that I wanted to suggest a Status Update page. Most large message boards (i.e. Live Journal) have one, housed on a separate server, so that users can go there and see what might be happening.

YetMoreTech is at the data centre as we speak, bodging a fix with sticky tape pulling together some whizzy way to sort out the problem.

I got the 'go to bed' message too was very frustrating as I was trying find the cupcake recipe someone had given me earlier this week

i kept getting the 'oops link is broken' message too
glad its not just me, i couldnt get on on the laptop at all so am doing this on phone now
hence my rubbishy typing!

still glad its not just me, thought id been thrown out!

Was 'down' for me too. Message was Internet Explorer cannot connect.....

Had to go away and eat chocolate to cope with the withdrawal symptoms

I was trying to get onto MN between about 2-3pm but kept getting "oops. Link is broken" message (but not the MN version) -was it down for everyone then?

MNHQ, I am not sure if you know this, during all these periods of down time there is no MN "be back soon" page, it is just a standard cannot display page. Well, it is for me anyway!

Yes the first post time stamp is wrong still (well it is for me!)

It is odd, HQ said the YetMoreTech was on it so, hopefully, it will be sorted, although I am getting the impression it is higher up the chain than MN so I don't know how much they can do.

I think the slattern detector must be broken as I am allowed on now and I only did minimal house work...please dont fix it though, I dont want to have to clean anymore

There's been a problem with the data centre but we have tech on standby. If there are any problems he's getting to them as quick as possible.
Rather like the idea of Doctor Who appearing any moment though!
