Should mumsnet be moderated?

Is it maybe time for mumsnet to get a few moderators on board?

I also say a big fat NO.
We all do a great job of making sure things dont get out of hand.
There are times when some people get personal and carry their own issues over onto other threads. Which happened to me years ago. However I just stopped going on the threads were that particular poster was. Simple.

We are all adults and so should be able to moderate ourselves.

I dont mind being called a cocksucker or a wanker, but I do object to being accused of supporting the Labour party

Wow QS... 137 posts, and no-one has agreed.
Sorry, 1 more against moderators here. I do think that in the main we moderate it well... though obviously it does break down at times.
It is extremely unfortunate that when the system fails it hurts people but I think moderation, by posters at least, would create more problems than it would solve.

Ha! That was my mid ground idea of prefects! lol obviously a dud then.

Still be nice to have those shield shape prefects badges [burgundy] for old time sake. That flash, as we are all cyber like.

I have reported spammers etc and MNHQ are quick to send a post it note to Tech in the shed to 'sort it'. Normally works out OK.
