THIS MORNING - which charity should mumsnet contribute their fees to??

That's it really. Mumsnet are appearing on 'This Morning' in the not to distant future, so where do their fees go?

I think there should be a poll on which charity it goes to - don't you?

nobody is being exploited Ace. MN asked for volunteers and is not coercing people to help.

talking about toddlers to phil and fern is hardly "selling your soul to the devil" is it? and i think most mumsnetters are savvy enough to know what they are getting into. for a start i think we are all aware that mn is a business.

i hope you are just a troll stirring for trouble and not a genuine poster with serious paranoia issues.

Surely the won't get paid? I've always assumed you go on shows like that for promotional reasons and therefore don't need paying?

Really? I wasn't aware anyone was being forced into it, anyone who joins MN on the sofa will be doing it perfectly aware of what is going on. I can't see Fern and or Philip giving them a hard time and i certianly can't see Justine & or whoever letting it happen. It isn't JK you know.

Its not as if Carrie and Justine et al earn pots of money from Mumsnet, they didnt set it up with the intention of earning money either but I still think they deserve it for all the hard work, blood, sweat and tears they put in

Especially due to the recent moldie gate drama which I found unpleasant and nasty tbh

Oh piss off ace123 - this is their livelihood. Do you think every time Myleene et al go on This Morning they donate their fee to charity? No, because it's a source of income. And it's not really up to us to question what the MNHQ bods do with their money. Would you like me to tell you what to do with your income?

I'd shoot the person doing the voice over for shure. And the dogs. They won't appreciate it. They'll just sniff it dolefully and then sigh, and lie down and write bad poetry about their feelings.

Much better to keep it.

Fair enough if it was just Mumsnet & not involving mumsnetters. It's exploitation.

People that go on TV who are not media savvy are taken advantage of. This whole 'This Morning' thing is a good example. Selling your soul for 15 minutes of fame increases the ratings and decreases participants self-worth.
