I can't believe it. Amazon censored my glowing review because I complained mildly that there weren't as many knob jokes as had been led to expect. Will have to write another one...

Why did you do the toddlers one before the pregnancy and babies ones, Justine?

I haven't seen a copy of the Toddlers one, but will have a look when I'm near a book shop! Sounds good.

My DD would give you a really good view of why a toddler book was sooooo needed.

And my DS would give you reason to commission a "why boys of the age 6 to 10 are too sensitive and hard to deal with"

I ventured into Waterstones in Oxford St today with a view to rearranging the Parenting section and they didn't have any, the lady said they aren't intending to get in any despite having loads of Netmums ones on show . It's an outrage...

It flows very well.

I really enjoy the way the quotes are so appropriate to the text. And it is funny. The constant "then pour wine" is reassuring. Thought I have found one mention of Gin and Tonic, which is even better.

And you are witty.

Do you know of anyone reliable who can look after two of my kids in westminster next week on Wednesday morning so I can go for a job interview???

Oh - have noticed a couple of other proof ready things - a full stop where a space should be, something else that I have now forgotten...

Started reading it properly now though, and it flows very well.

agree Portandlemon - I didn't notice the error on the back cover, but my six year old did! She is such a swot. "Oooh look, mummy's name in a book!" "oooh mummy, this is all wrong on the back"

Checked it out in Waterstone's, but couldn't help noticing

  • Punctuation error on the back cover (am I the first pedant to point this out?)
  • You appear to have quoted your own pseudonymous Observer article in the flyleaf's list of quotes (probably not actually a flyleaf in a paperback, but whatever it's called)
