Mumsnet offline Thursday night

Mumsnet will be offline tonight, Thursday, from just before 11pm or so. We're doing a few small updates and a bit of housekeeping. It will be off for a while unfortunately, so maybe an early night and check in over your cereal in the morning?

I'm not going to offer MSN updates this time - you'd not believe the story from last time I did that, even if I did tell you, which I won't. The good news is that if it goes badly there will be at least a dozen people to blame. If it goes well I'll be around to take all the credit.

Let's just hope we don't hit the headlines this time.

I have heard things about (and indeed from) Tech's shed.

He won't let me look in and believe me I've tried. Seriously, no shed should have that many state of the art locks and security unless it is hiding something...... I know he is NOT just playing with his mac in there, I suspect he is building an army of robot children to replace our own Dc and ultimately take over the world at his command - which he will send via CBeebies. And oh see how he has already infiltrated the BBC?

that, or he sits muttering about whinging parents and PfuckingFBs and making bombs.

Either way, I for one am NOT about to piss him off, he has power.

I would batten down Tech. If you in any way resemble David Tennant you will have hordes of horny MNers hunting you down and heading for your shed. Especially as they won't be able to MN later.

I didn't say we weren't having a bit of a spring clean though... Or maybe a full on everything brand new revamp. Sign on tomorrow and you'll find out!

At least it means I will actually get my tax return finished in time! And possibly even do a bit of work...
