This thread is a continuation of this one. That one had become too big for its own boots the system to handle.

OP posts:

OBM, I might change my name to Rubiks because you are determined to twizzle anything I say till it's all jumbled up and there's not two squares of the same colour on any one side, eh?

Soph

DaddyJ, I've changed my mind Keep 'em!

QuintessentialShadow · 01/01/2009 22:32

controlfreaky, i think you have answered your own question there, with your last sentence.

I had only been posting on mouldie for two weeks, (I flounced from MN a week prior), and the moment I was outed as a mudlie, I was ostracised.

So, good reason to change name even if not done anything wrong? You want to post without being told "fuck off to moldies, theres a dear"

Aitch · 01/01/2009 22:32

really don't make it about me, custy. i was just reminding you that you had said something rather pointed about vvv, that's all. good of you to apologise.

TWINSETinapeartree · 01/01/2009 22:31

Moldies are doing it again just turning up to stir things up.

Aitch - you amongst all M's are most prized etc. but

I remember that post, and I didn't find it extreme - and nor did MNHQ, since it wasnt' deleted. They have a hair-trigger at the mo, so anything that gets through can be reasonably considered to be in the spirit of vigourous debate.

It was personal, in that it was responding to something that vvvqv had said, but I don't think that it was beyond the pale, in context. Many of vvvqv's posts have been very bullish (though she recently suggested that she missed something I'd said on Moldies which explained some posts which involved me - though not other, more general posts).

As far as I recall, Custardo was saying that vvvqv had, since the Moldie revelation, revealed an unseen side which would come as a suprise to most but which she had already clocked. I personally don't find that abusive, in context. It's tough, it's not nice - but is it really abusive? I don't think so.

I have found vvvqv's posts in the last couple of days markedly different from those posted during the first days of this disaster.

Tortington · 01/01/2009 22:30

actually, thats not true, my standpoint on apologies is re the fake ones... that usually go i'm sorry your feeling that way ...but... - always a but.

thats a genuine one. i am trying too be gracious considering the things which have been levelled at me for which i have not recieved any kind of apology.

If my apology for that, which we cannot read in context, is not taken in the genuine light in which it is intended, then so be it Aitch.

controlfreakyhohohohohohoho · 01/01/2009 22:29

why change your name vvvq if you've done nothing wrong? why change your name when youb keep telling us you'll post wherever you like and it's you perogative3 to post here and there etc..... (repeatedly) and seem magnetically drawn to this thread???

feel free though. we wont know who you are though will we....

err, or you could go and vent all these feelings on mouldies.... in perfect privacy and only to be read by your closest virtual friends and all. just a thought.

ShinyPinkShoes · 01/01/2009 22:25

I'll be honest- it was a shock to me that people were so hurt and upset about Moldies because I never really knew many people very well on here, and never really posted that much. I now have a deeper understanding of how people feel about not being invited and can fully appreciate how they feel and that does not feel good to me at all.

I think that lots of people have regrets but unfortunately the clock cannot be turned back now, so we all need to find a way of moving on- and getting on.

I would just love to see everybody getting on again. All this sniping and arguing is not healthy and it'd be great to start the new year off positively.

Aitch · 01/01/2009 22:24

now now, don't let's start making this about me, custy, i'm just saying that an 'if' sorry isn't much of a sorry. you know that, i've seen you point it out plenty of times.

Tortington · 01/01/2009 22:22

dear god.

Aitch · 01/01/2009 22:20

although the 'if it hurt' apology is one that i'm sure i've seen you knock back in the past, tbh. you can do better, custy.

Heathcliffscathy · 01/01/2009 22:19

congrats daddyj.

Aitch · 01/01/2009 22:18

"not on purpose as you might be suggesting"

i didn't say it, i didn't suggest it. i said 'perhaps you've forgotten as it was deleted?' and i meant 'perhaps you've forgotten as it was deleted?'

Tortington · 01/01/2009 22:16

Aitch, i had forgotten about that comment, not on purpose as you might be suggesting, its certainly out of context

However if it hurt vvqv i deeply apologise - again, like i did on that thread.

DaddyJ · 01/01/2009 22:15

You can have them!
Missus is up the duff for the 2nd time,
they have done their job.

Hold on a sec..

Heathcliffscathy · 01/01/2009 22:13

[waves back] :D

Aitch · 01/01/2009 22:12

awkward that i'm coming on here after hunker but truth be told it's coincidence, i've just shown a RL friend out of the house and am checking out this thread... anyhow... Custy, you did say a pretty nasty thing to VVVQ on a deleted thread that i remember, something to the effect that she was being given a hard time by someone else because they had seen the 'real' her, and that you'd always had the measure of her. it was personal, and it was pointed and i for one was pretty shocked.

perhaps you'd forgotten, because it was deleted? either way, if it's got to the stage where people are de-regging and changing names then this is all NUTS of course.

onebatmotherofgoditschilly · 01/01/2009 22:11

"Anyway, I'm going to go back to posting as and when I feel like it on MN - and wherever else I fancy."

Well, tbh hunker that does sound a bit.. ..gauntlet-throwy. Or - if you follow the American Roget's - a bit fuckyouish.

ShinyPinkShoes · 01/01/2009 22:10

Yikes DaddyJ you're a very brave man!

Heathcliffscathy · 01/01/2009 22:08

especially not YOU hunker

Tortington · 01/01/2009 22:07

i agree vvq, don't change your name. this whole thing will blow over in a couple of weeks at the most.

i also agree with hunker that the nestle jibe was to goddam far - no one deserves that

hunkermunker · 01/01/2009 22:05

Don't change yer name, VVV, I might forget who you are and slaaaaaaag you orrrrrrrf!

DaddyJ, I'm puzzled by something you said further down the thread (which I said I wouldn't post on again, but hey!) You said I was denying hurt feelings and behaving as Nestle - do you mean this post? I wasn't meaning what you thought at all and apologise if I gave that impression:

By hunkermunker on Wed 31-Dec-08 23:41:02
She has a point though - google "mumsnet moldies"

Anyway, I'm going to go back to posting as and when I feel like it on MN - and wherever else I fancy.

If people who have never liked me anyway want to continue to dislike me, that's cool.

If people who did like me want to think ill of me, I'm sad about that. Maybe it'll all be fine again one day.

But if I keep posting on threads such as this, I'm not doing anyone any favours, least of all me!

HNY, all. May 2009 bring you love, laughter and Botox for your wrinkly bits.

*

Oh, and liken me to Nestle again and I'll have your nuts

Heathcliffscathy · 01/01/2009 21:55

doodle's right vvqv.

BigGitLovesMulledWineDad · 01/01/2009 21:44

VVVQ I hope you do not change your name. I have enjoyed reading your posts in the past and hope that I continue to do so. I for one think this has all got out of hand now.
