Leaving is leaving.
Flouncing is announcing that you will leave (the actual leaving part is often optional i've noticed) and expecting to gain some kind of reaction to this announcement.

Piffle - I think that there are relatively few people who have strong views on the Moldies saga - maybe just hide this thread, and post on other stuff (would imagine you would have a strong interest in the Gaza/Israel discussions).

I'd love to say I'd miss you Piffle but the truth is that we've not really talked before (I don't think).

I would be very sad Piffle if you, or anyone else in a similar position, felt it was time to de-reg.
I know I've learned a lot from you in the past and wish you and your family all the best for the future, whether or not that future includes mumsnet of moldies or anything else.

I did not set Moldies up
I was invited saw some lasses there who had left MN-one who is helping me through a specific confidential health issue.
I have never voted/vetoed nor seen that in action.

I did mean earlier that which bonds us also drives us apart but ultimately because of the shared experiences it should bring the site together again.

I said the reason I come back is to reply to comments I disagree with- I am not posting on this thread alone btw

Piffle, I have no idea why you and other moldies are filled with an urge to 'set the record straight' because this is one record which simply can't be set straight.

You might be able to correct one or two misconceptions about how moldies arose, but you are not going to be able to fix the core issues which are that (a) moldies has been set up (b) it has followed a deliberate policy of not being open (c) a small number of mners feel aggrieved for not being invited and (d) a rather larger number question the ethics of recruiting for mouldies on mn.

So why bother? Why not just let the fuss die down?

Wonder if they are posting in their mumsnet names? Could be argued that it is just a word/s or whatever but the context of use is also important.

'Cleave' is an interesting choice of words Piffle. As well as meaning adhering it also means to split apart. The origin of the word 'cleaver'. Also the orgin of the word 'cloven' as in cloven hoof - another satanical reference.
