Well hopefully the title says it all. There's been a suggestion, and we agree, that as we did with Baby P and the Mc Canns we just have one thread where anyone who feels they still have anything to add on this subject can post and those who'd rather move on can hide it away.

It feels strange to put this thread in site stuff as we are definitely not wanting to encourage further discussion of Moldies (we have presents to wrap too you know ) but we weren't sure where else to put it.

We will delete any new Moldies threads that are started, so please feel free to report them in case we miss any (what with wrapping the presents and all...)

And if you do want to carry on the discussion please remember that Mumsnet's here to make everyone's lives easier and not the reverse, and that Christmas is a time of goodwill to all mumsnetters past, present and future

ahh yes - the butchers in town that does the Boerwoers does biltong too - but the Sussmans stuff is lekker (South African for extremely nice

I have lost one of mine. Saw it 2 days ago, cant remember what I did with it. dd assures me it isn't among the stocking presents which I had carefully hidden in the cellar.

oh - totally random thought just popped into my head - try not to flip your lid if they describe someone who's mixed race as coloured - in Southern African "Coloured" is the official term for mixed race people so they may not realise it can cause offense in these parts

well, hey, we've got them from 2 jan. till the end of the month. these s. africans don't do visits by halves, it seems.

some overlap with my pal from london but hey ho, it's a large enough house and we're all game so it will work out.

means lotsa babysitters for us and good times for sure .

and landlord's daughter and husband will be through and staying lots, too.

cool.

they're broody, so i think a trial run with all four kids won't hurt.

no I'm not from Zim - I'm as English as they come - Yorkshire dad, Somerset mum (and family tree on both sides goes back to those areas for years - just lived out there for 2 1/2yrs and "adopted" it as home.
