If you (still) feel the need to discuss Moldies, please do it here so folks can hide this if they want to.

Well hopefully the title says it all. There's been a suggestion, and we agree, that as we did with Baby P and the Mc Canns we just have one thread where anyone who feels they still have anything to add on this subject can post and those who'd rather move on can hide it away.

It feels strange to put this thread in site stuff as we are definitely not wanting to encourage further discussion of Moldies (we have presents to wrap too you know ) but we weren't sure where else to put it.

We will delete any new Moldies threads that are started, so please feel free to report them in case we miss any (what with wrapping the presents and all...)

And if you do want to carry on the discussion please remember that Mumsnet's here to make everyone's lives easier and not the reverse, and that Christmas is a time of goodwill to all mumsnetters past, present and future

Thanks,
MNHQ

OK, I know you have to put sugar in to make cream float in an irish coffee, but How much? and What sort of cream? and do you pour it on or spoon it on?

JoolsToo · 28/12/2008 20:56

By way of explanation as to why other Moldies thread: Mumsnet Moldies Row to be in papers tomorrow, has been deleted

By JustinExcelsisMumsnet on Sun 28-Dec-08 20:40:12

Can we just say that none of us - unless we are blood relatives probably - really know that anyone is who they say they are. But we have absolutely no reason to suspect the Rev's credentials - she has been around an awful long time on MN so it would be an extraordinary deception and quite unlike any other we've come across. In our view extremely unlikely.

We would say that this kind of casting of Nasturtiums is unhelpful and paranoia-inducing all round. If you have concerns about a poster we urge to contact us and we will look into behind the scenes it as soon as and as best we can. Public raising of suspicion can mean that wholly innocent people get "fingered" which is something none of us wish to see, I'd guess.

Ok we're going to delete this thread in a bit sadly because there comes a time when so much of a thread contains personal attacks we might as well delete it.

The only reason we left it standing (we've agreed on one Moldies thread) was because by the time we got to it this morn it had a few hundred posts on it. Apologies to all those who've posted on it in good faith - sorry to blow your thoughts into the ether, as it were.

Man baby cocktail?

How about combining it with a blokey football theme and calling it...

The Placenta Forward.....?

no it isnt at all, which made it more amusing as he was a fairly muscular looking soldier, and he tried so hard not to sound like a girl when he ordered it, it made it funnier worse

Piffle · 28/12/2008 20:36

@ bauble

SlubberdegullionMitSpeck · 28/12/2008 20:36

Baldy over here mate plus anyone else who wants to write a script for Nicole Kidman.

Bauble99 · 28/12/2008 20:36

You do make me larf, MP. I'm pleased you haven't either gone or restricted yourself solely to the dark side.

morningpaper · 28/12/2008 20:36

oh YES

well I am also cutting out lots of pictures from the papers and putting them on my wall

StealthPoHoHoHo · 28/12/2008 20:35

StealthPoHoHoHo · 28/12/2008 20:35

morningpaper · 28/12/2008 20:34

Yah bauble you are right

morningpaper · 28/12/2008 20:34

WOO WOO is effeminate

Bauble99 · 28/12/2008 20:34

Unless some seriously dodgy ideas were being peddled as fact to possibly vulnerable people.

But I think the Pope's cornered that market.

morningpaper · 28/12/2008 20:33

Yah bauble you need about seven years training and then have to be ordained by like a Bishop chap with a big hat

they are quite choosey 'n all

if you are a catholic priest you also need to speak about 27 languages, it is a NIGHTMARE trying to beat one at Trivial Pursuit

SlubberdegullionMitSpeck · 28/12/2008 20:33

Right. hang on

holidaywonk · 28/12/2008 20:33

It's a black-on-white racial slur. Fairly innocuous (unlike this board tonight). Mind you, I think that 'bog' is OK so what do I know?

Piffle · 28/12/2008 20:32

chortle @ inadvertant use of honkey

lou33 · 28/12/2008 20:32
