If you (still) feel the need to discuss Moldies, please do it here so folks can hide this if they want to.

Well hopefully the title says it all. There's been a suggestion, and we agree, that as we did with Baby P and the Mc Canns we just have one thread where anyone who feels they still have anything to add on this subject can post and those who'd rather move on can hide it away.

It feels strange to put this thread in site stuff as we are definitely not wanting to encourage further discussion of Moldies (we have presents to wrap too you know ) but we weren't sure where else to put it.

We will delete any new Moldies threads that are started, so please feel free to report them in case we miss any (what with wrapping the presents and all...)

And if you do want to carry on the discussion please remember that Mumsnet's here to make everyone's lives easier and not the reverse, and that Christmas is a time of goodwill to all mumsnetters past, present and future

Thanks,
MNHQ

Good lord, it's in the Telegraph now.

[sigh]

Tortington · 29/12/2008 13:02

yes VQ, you are both members and i haven't said anything remotely rubbish .

If i have said anything directly to you or Hunker that was hurtful, out of context or PERSNONAL in anyway, then i apologise profusely.

I do however wish to add, that i sincerely do not think i have participated in ANY of those things.

lou33 · 29/12/2008 13:02

oh look , i met johnny depp over xmas

StealthPoHoHoHo · 29/12/2008 13:02

I can't believe that posters I have previously respected and thought a lot of are showing themselves up so badly over the Moldies thing.

A lot of true colours have been shown of late. SOme of them very dissapointing. of course, i think i always had the true measure of you VQ.

PavlovtheRedNosedReindeer · 29/12/2008 13:00

since when could threads go higher than 1000? I am really losing touch!

VeniVidiVickiQV · 29/12/2008 13:00

rather my thoughts too lovecat.

custy - you've mentioned my name several times over the last few days along with hunker's. So, really, are you being serious???? If you want to keep taking swipes at moldies, i'll keep on replying. However, if you want to drop it, and start playing nice, then I'll gladly meet you half way. I'm nothing if not fair.

Happy New Year to you all.

x

NorthernLurker · 29/12/2008 12:59

VVV - no winks and grins for you I'm afraid. Moldies caused hurt and anger, Your witterings about apology e-mails will cause hurt and anger. Why don't you just keep your 'easy-to-read' balanced thoughts to yourself as unfortunately they are coming across as rather bitchy.

daftpunk · 29/12/2008 12:58

vvvqv......go back to your moldies site.

please.

lou33 · 29/12/2008 12:57

i am getting ready to go help dd2 spend her birthday money

VeniVidiVickiQV · 29/12/2008 12:57

Bored? goodness no. Just greedy

I can see that responding to the vileness on this thread is ruck-causing though. I shall leave you to fester in it.

NorthernLurker · 29/12/2008 12:57

I'm trying to get out of the house too but in my case it's a pronounce case of indolence that's keeping me here. A concierge - how very modern of you!

lovecat · 29/12/2008 12:56

I've called no-one a cunt, to my recollection.

Your post was rather uncalled for and spiteful, however, hence my question. You can post whatever you like, but don't expect to be rude and not have it called into question.

Now, to hunt DD and her missing socks down...

lovecat · 29/12/2008 12:52

Well, I'm trying to get out of the house but DD has ripped her socks off and is running around the house laughing at me, so I'm still here...

Northern - Wasp's nest is defunct, we were advised not to remove it by the council as it would act as a warning to any new wasps that wanted to live there - seems to have worked but I still don't like going near it (t'would be just our luck to get thick wasps that didn't realise they were meant to be scared).

Butler? How delightfully old-fashioned of you! We have a concierge...

Tortington · 29/12/2008 12:51

vq, ? I realise that considering our MN history that we have had a guarded truce of late, before this episode - and during as far as i was concerned at least.

I think that was uncalled for.

Quattrocento · 29/12/2008 12:51

I think some Oldies are getting bored with their new toy - they wouldn't come over here looking for rucks otherwise

Chill out, it's still the holiday season, no-one wants a fight.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 29/12/2008 12:50

I thought you'd like that one, onebat

you didnt answer my query below, btw.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 29/12/2008 12:49

I'm sorry...what, lovecat? IS it only "non" moldies that can call each other cunts discuss moldies on here?

NorthernLurker · 29/12/2008 12:49

Lovecat - no butlers pantry? Where do you keep the butler then? (boom, boom)

Why have you put your wellies in a wasps nest? Seems reckless to me!

Wetroom - hmmmm - well it's ok but it's a bit wet tbh. We are all so very dry here you know!

onebatmotherofgoditschilly · 29/12/2008 12:47

Or so the editor of the Sindie tells me.

lovecat · 29/12/2008 12:45

Now was there really any need for that VVVQV?

lovecat · 29/12/2008 12:44

Anyway, I have to tear DD away from Diego's Christmas Adventure (annoyingly sanctimonious little prick that he is) and go out and buy real food for my chocolate/crisp/crap-stuffed family, so I will leave you all to it for now.

On the subject of middle-class twittery, can I direct you all to my thread (languishing on Food) about royal icing butterflies? No bugger has responded and I am distraught...

cornsilk · 29/12/2008 12:43

I don't have an airing cupboard. We have a combi-boiler that keeps breaking. Progress my arse. Where's that boden one then?

VeniVidiVickiQV · 29/12/2008 12:43

Yes, the ones who were gracious, kind, and lacking in self-indulgence got an apology. Did you not get one custy?

I think, the reason my quote was attributed correctly, was that it happened to be one of the more 'easy-to-read' balanced ones. THe others were the rants of lunatics with gross self importance complexes. Or so the editor of the Sindie tells me.
