How many Mumsnetters work in hospitals as nurses or doctors (or meet hospital in-patients in one way or another)?

We've been asked if we could do a survey amongst hospital staff who are parents - and before we can commit we need to know roughly how many Mumsnetters work in hospitals and come into regular contact with in-patients (ie not admin staff).

So if you are a hospital doctor/nurse or regularly come into contact with in-patients, please let us know and if you don't mind saying what you do that would be even more helpful (but don't feel to have to).

Sometimes I do quality control of drs exams, which means going on ward rounds and talking to patients about their views of the doctors.

KatieMorag - can I second your suggestion - as a representative of admin/mangerial staff I was a tiny,tiny bit offended by carrie's original op The input you have into the patients journey is obviously different from that of a doctor etc but it can be just as demanding.

coudl i suggest that you change the thread title to say what you actually mean? ( sorry if thats sounds cheeky). many PAMS deal with patients all day, as do many admin staff

current title may be excluding many respondents

I don't work in a hospital but work at a house next to one that provides food and board to families with children in the hospital. Many of the families come from hundreds or thousands of miles away and have nowhere else to stay. Often, the in-patients come over to the house to play or have a bit of time away from the hospital. Don't know if that counts. And it's voluntary. And I'm overseas. So I'm probably useless.
