WBP I really don't think general impression is that TWR was scamming at all - perhaps just a little over-reliant on the kindness of strangers.

My concern is that it is often the least emotionally stable people that pile in to lend emotional support, perhaps because they know how much of a difference it can make.

These people are sadly often the least well equipped to cope with any fallout from giving that support and getting too involved.

I'm not sure there is much you can do about it, but I do read some of the threads and shudder sometimes, before quickly pressing 'hide'!

COV, i don't think they were on the phone biull thread though. I think they had given money/material things for a diffeent reason and when it all kicked off they assumed that they would be repaid as well.
as far as i am aware that is what happened anyway. I don't have any contact with her anymore for my own reaons.
