There will be a short period where Mumsnet is off the air tonight (Wednesday). Hopefully it won't be for more than a few minutes so there shouldn't be any need to, y'know, talk to your partners or anything.

Add on the glaring at the broadband box to ensure still working, re-setting it, giving it a good kicking, and then whispering "please, I'm sorry, I'll be good, just connect to mumsnet, I'll do whatever you ask"...
Blame it on the broad band, despite knowing that other websites were working!

Before going off YMTech could list some improbable things, and then go off and have a fiddle with whatever, and then delete the list, and when mn was back up and running we should all have a stab at remembering them.

It could make the blank screen more fun.

I think they did it specifically to prevent us lot going over when mumsnet goes down.

I think you'll find that according to paragraph 9, subsection iv, appendix 14.31a "going offline for a few minutes" is not allowed without a 3 month warning with twice daily email to give the MNers advanced notice of said "going off line for a few minutes".
