if we're being pedantic, I have one...

In that bit over there > > > (as you're adding your message that is, not as you're reading this) it says:

"To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so -dog- gives dog"

It clearly doesn't. -dog- would give -dog- dog would give dog

Anyway, look at it, you'll see I'm right

What do we think of 'to bold a word...' in the same set of instructions

Better 'to embolden'? Nice to think of giving words courage.

Or 'to make a word appear in bold'.

-dog- is ONE hyphen either side. TWO hyphen s either side works.
