Morning all,
I'm just penning the foreward of our Toddlers book and want to try and give a taste of Mumsnet in all its glory. I was thinking that a good way to do that using the best/funniest/most bizarre thread titles. I've got a brain like a sieve though and can't remember any - can you help? (Please!)

god pirate sex was really boring

most of the 'sex' ones are intrinsically dull if you're not there at the beginning and tbh if you're doing a catalogue of threads and you put a load of the sex ones in you'll sound like The Sun

I think they are probably only funny in context of the true discussion threads .. they are the light relief side of MN

fark me, we agree on something!

StrictMachine · 23/06/2008 17:55

Self Aggrandisement.

Twiglett · 23/06/2008 17:40

oh Rosa .. I had totally and utterly forgotten that incident .. am weeping with mirth yet again and it was a year ago

you meant If your 3 year old ran past you in a pair of knickers shouting 'fire in my bum' would you

VersdeSociete · 23/06/2008 17:09

Pirate Sex

squeaver · 23/06/2008 16:49

The one where the poster was upstairs at her parents' house and had just had some noisy afternoon delight with her dh then realised her dad was in the house.

The one from the other day with the groom-to-be who had shat himself while wearing an elf costume.

Not that these have anything to do with toddlers of course

filthymindedvixen · 23/06/2008 16:19

Thanks Littlemydancing - that one was one of mine

Slubberdegullion · 23/06/2008 16:02

WriggleJiggle · 23/06/2008 15:13

Am I being unreasonable? : to leave the children at school for the next fortnight or so whilst I watch Wimbledon?

Haven't read the thread, but I love it.

Dragonbutter · 23/06/2008 15:06

What about the one where the mumsnetter wanted to know if she was BU to expect her childminder to tell her if she's taking DH out for the afternoon.
Made me laugh, but i suspect this isn't the sort of thing you mean.

LittleMyDancing · 23/06/2008 15:05

The best 10/10 one is 'Canteloupe! Canteloupe! Will you eat the bad mango?'

QueenMeabhOfConnaught · 23/06/2008 14:57

I remember that one, Mercy!!

Mercy · 23/06/2008 14:51

There was one which was a line from a story written by someone's dc - something about Jesus but nonetheless I ate by breakfast

FoulOlRon · 23/06/2008 14:51

Look at some of the 10/10 club best titles -

super-cauli, veggietastic, vit c in high doses

Cream coloured parsnips and crisp apple strudel, Beetroot and bok choi and swiss chard with noodles

Dedicated swallower of passion fuit

In Gourd we Trust

It's my parsley and I'll cry if I want to

Plump up the Yam, til your beet are stompin and the jam is pumpkin..

They're changinmg chard at butternut palace. Crispy rocket went down with radish

Why do you build me up butternut, chestnut lentil me down...

Just to keep you going.... (and to wind Cod up even more)

franke · 23/06/2008 14:15
