Sleeping Environment Survey

We've been asked to find out a bit more about your attitude to sleep and your child's sleeping environment.

The survey is open to anyone in the UK with at least one child aged under 4.

Everyone who takes part in survey will be entered into a prize draw where 1 respondent will win £150 of vouchers for bebeco and 2 runners up will each receive £50 of vouchers for bebeco

So sorry so many of you found the survey irritating and thanks for persevering in spite of this. Apologies too for missing counties - we should have checked the list we were given more thoroughly

All feedback - even critical stuff - is useful for future, so do let us know what you think - we can take it - just !

And rest assured that finding the survey irritating does not preclude you from winning the prize

Which was most important to you when choosing your child's sleeping environment. Er, that my baby was in the same bed I was?

When I stood at the microwave, sobbing in dismay because I had put the microwave on for 2 minutes, waited a min and microwaved for 3 more minutes, only to find after the five minutes there was f* all in the microwave, I deffo thought "you need some sleep girl!"

"Which of the following would have helped you enjoy being a parent more?" What's that all about? What if you really do enjoy your LO already, where was the option for just being happy with stuff how it is?

agree it is very weird and prescriptive - it's like they are trying to box you in to say certain responses whether you want to or not.

Like the question about sleep - I certainly don't get enough sleep and I'm pretty much constantly knackered, but I don't think any of the results apply to me - I get on fine with my partner and fully enjoy my child!

Where is the box to say "I don't get enough sleep but I'm coping, thanks"?

Would not going back to work have been (a) a huge help to me? (b) Some help to me? (c) no help at all?

Agree that it is an AWFUL survey. So obviously devised to boost their marketing campaign. I'm not bothered by adverts that say that "98% of Mums agree that our product is essential for a good night's sleep/brain development/a healthy child/whatever" anyway though. Just brings out my inner rebel.

I hate it when people write surveys to only get the answers they want. It makes it pointless.

That was what annoyed me too Armadillo - they didn't have an option for 'no I deliberately chose man-made materials so that I could efficiently clean for dust mites as child is asthmatic'. they only had the options for 'I am either too poor or too stupid to buy 100% natural'. So I chose that option, very grudgingly.

have done it but agree that survey was badly written. Is it just for their marketing do you think? e.g "90% of parents would prefer natural bedding - so look at ours"

Agree with it being appallingly written survey. Option for 'other' was the same as 'don't know' and no option to write why.

I didn't buy organic/all natural mattress for ds as we were warned that it was a bad idea when baby had large potential of being asthmatic/having allergies (large risk for ds).

Also Bristol is the 7th biggest city in England - why no option? Or even anything similar.

They knew the answers they wanted and created the questions to get them. Pointless survey imo - why not just make up the results as well?
