Also, when the hook up thread was shut down, there was talk on another thread, asking if anyone knew where you lot could all go, an alternative site, to keep the hook up thread going. Amazingly, posters were having trouble finding somewhere willing to host a free hook up chat thread. Why do you think that was? 😂😂😂 And of nowhere else wanted it, why do you think mumsnet would? 😂😂😂

Tbh they probably would if you made enough of a fuss about it as you did the sex topic/sex chat thread! 🤣

Yes, this is accurate.

MN originally encouraged this kind of content and have handled all this very badly.

I know why it was banned.
We all do.
Because people kicked off about it and demanded mumsnet ban it, which they eventually did.

The original sexchat thread went on for several months before that with approval from MN too...

Let's not forget people were told by mumsnet at the time that they didn't have a problem with sex chat between adults including a wink wink 🍆 emoji. It went on for over 6 months with approval from mumsnet.

Then they put sex topic in active and people kicked off about the thread so mumsnet back tracked on it and changed their stance.

That also adds to the issue because people were told it was ok. Others then kicked off and so it got banned.

Flirty chat isn't something I do with my friends. I keep that for people I am sexually interested in. Since I am now coupled up, that means, at this point, my partner and no one else.
