Has The Royal topic been disappeared?

Kate had given birth THREE WEEKS prior, she had a new born. Was she really expected to go and stand around at dress fittings like “the other mums”. If someone had posted this here on MN she’d have been told her SIL was a Bridezilla who should be told to eff off!

I definitely remember reading in the Daily Telegraph on Saturday that the Mumsnet royal family threads have all be consolidated into one because there were too many.

I don't think they're screenshots. The Daily Mail is stirring. The article doesn't correspond with the order shown on the 'screenshots' graphic.
Honestly I've spent less time talking about my own bridesmaid dress dramas and I had 7 bridesmaids and 3 flower girls - a bridesmaid who decided she didn't like the dress; one who changed sizes and a flower-girl's mum who altered her dress into a completely different design. Sadly I didn't keep any of the messages either.

There are low level but I guess the issue was the narrative that it was all Meghan fault.

‘Right, and I told you….’ Is, in my opinion, an exceptionally snippy and rude response to what is essentially a text letting someone know that something isn’t right for what is a massive occasion for which every flaw would be nitpicked over.

I suppose given that she was maybe fretting about her real impending wedding and not the later one the dress was needed for though, maybe it is understandable 😉

The bridesmaid dresses did look awful, baggy and the girls not wearing tights was plain weird. Kate has probably more experience with all this and was frustrated that Meghan was acting like a stroppy bridezilla. I don't think I would have ever responded to my SIl in such a rude manner over something like this. Kate was just being curt and factual (and had a very reborn baby), Meghan OTH pretty argumentative. She then had a melt down sobbing on the floor 🙄, that's so over the top.

Where did they comment on this?

Well HQ have been pretty transparent about whose paid them a visit with a cricket bat.

Those texts look fairly low level rude/irritable to me. Wouldn't be starring on a bog standard wedding drama thread on here

I can see how tensions are high & both would be stressed but saying Charlotte was crying is a bit overkill as is asking for new dresses.

So the palace did lie about the argument being over tights.

Mark me down as another who doesn't really care what's going on at KP or Nott Cott, but is positively agog to find out what's going on at MNHQ.

Agree. If true, Kate is in the wrong. It's ridiculous to demand a new dress for a child if the one is too big. Any good tailor can sort that out. It would be harder if it was too small.

Yes, it's the sudden disappearance that's odd. MNHQ should know that an entire topic has just disappeared, yet they seem to be just as confused as the regular posters. That's pretty concerning.

Kate did the right thing in giving Meghan flowers and apologising to her.

Charlotte's dress was awful, longer at the back than the front. All wonky.

It was probably in Meghan's interest to have nice dresses for her cortege
