Quoting cuts off comments

Hi
Just noticed that using the quote function means that your comment (as well as part of the quoted comment), is cut off - so it just looks as though you quoted the comment but made no reply. I've seen it on other threads today and assumed people had pressed the quote function by accident but it's definitely a thing!

Hi @CandyLeBonBon just wondered if you're able to see all quoted posts by now? If not, please check that you're running the latest version of the app - there was an update 3 days ago which should solve the quoted post problem. Can you please check that you're running version 4.4.18?

@Shelby1981 can you also check? Hopefully this issue will be fixed for you too if you update your app.

I've stopped watching using the quote function (which already has complaints) because it just doesn't work and comments are still cutting off. It's sooo Frustrating

Is it still happening @CandyLeBonBon ? I have not quoted much tonight, so haven't noticed.

Does happen a lot. I ALWAYS check my post on 'preview post' before submitting. It happens in 1 in 5 posts I would say... I fix it before I post. (ie, just go to edit post and back to 'preview' to make sure it's all come back. It usually has.) Glad to see it's been fixed now. Hope it has! Grin

Sincere apologies, folks - the fix was released this morning and we should have been clearer in our comms.

So just to reiterate - if you update the app today it should fix the quoting issue on the app.

Yep. The update issued apparently 3 hours ago seems to have fixed it.

Thank you, but maybe a heads up on this thread that there was a brand new update would have been a good idea?

Ok. The update seems to have fixed it and I've checked back on an old thread I know I was missing content on and can see it now.

Ok. Looked at my updates and you released an update just today that mentions fixes including to quotes. I've done that and see how we fare.

But as that was only released today it would have been nice to be told it was coming.

It's awful. I hate using the web browser on my phone as it's just no use either.

The app should work properly by now.

This is really getting out of hand. If your tech team can't address this the please find some outside help. It's making the app really difficult to use
