Copying and pasting replies/previous replies

Please stop doing this for the love of god it clogs up the whole thread and then the thread ends up being a fight between two people that requires endless scrolling. Surely just tag the person or copy their last comment; not the whole 20 post discourse?!?! Giving me the rage

Mine (tablet) seems to just be getting longer boxes now that it's down to individual words.
hopefully they have a whizbang solution for the extraneous boxes and lines.

Much prefer copying in bold or italics
its much easier on the eye and is obvious who you’re quoting to those who are reading the thread.

Screenshot from my phone. Words any longer than 4 letters and you can't see them.
I did laugh the longer and longer it got, but let's be honest it gets completely ridiculous 😂 and would make threads unreadable.

no idea how to do it on a tablet/chrome using a stylus. Any tips or hints from anyone?

Sorry - wish I could help. I’m so accustomed to my own set up - mobile site on iphone - that it seems extraordinary to me that other people access MN differently! (I don’t even know how the re-platforming looks on the app as I never use it.)
