Please can the OP be made unquotable?

We can all see the OP repeated at the top of every page now, and it is assumed that all/most replies to a thread are... to the OP!

Nobody needs to be repeatedly reminded of the OP by seeing it quoted in subsequent posts, and having the OP repeated so much makes threads a nightmare to read. So please can the quote function be removed from the OP's first post?

Yes. And the quote of a quote of a quote is a PITA too. In fact most of the ‘improvements’ that people have been asking for over the years have proven to be a bit shit! Thank fuck they haven’t given us a like button yet Grin

Or at the very least, can we have the option to not have the OP pinned to the top of every page? I have a functional memory, I don't need to read it with every new page I click through.

I nearly started the exact same thing, and I'm getting pissed off with people quoting really long posts, which are immediately before those.
