Threadlice · 30/01/2008 18:25

I meant 'dry' in the complimentary sense of course.

Threadlice · 30/01/2008 18:25

Could I nominate Swede for "Not just a ban, but an M&S Nationwide ban"
Not just a quote of the week, but a so-dry as-to-go-unnoticed Swede quote of the week.

Desiderata · 30/01/2008 18:25

That's because we knew you were a show-off.

So pick your nose and blow off

Swedes · 30/01/2008 18:21

A few weeks ago, someone started a thread saying they had been banned from Marks and Spencers nationwide.

I said: "Not just a ban, but an M&S Nationwide ban" but noone so much as smiled let alone nominated me - bastards.

Greensleeves · 30/01/2008 16:04

Oh, crack a smile, you pompous ponce

UnquietDad · 30/01/2008 16:03

Greensleeves - agreed, there would be a question today over confusion of the impersonal "his" with the masculine "his". But I don't think we can read too much into what was, when the line was written, considered to be an impersonal pronoun.

calzone · 30/01/2008 15:53

i vote for Nab and the oven comment too

Greensleeves · 30/01/2008 15:52

Note -

"Marxism's essential problem in a nutshell. 'From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs', so who shovels the shit?"

Need you ask?
