Please turn off “Trending in Christmas” or at least make the red less BRIGHT!

It’s November, not December!

The red is jarring!!

I’m not interested in what’s trending on the Christmas board.

It’s annoying.

It’s badly placed.

Please let us turn it off.

I have zero interest in Christmas threads. It's glaring. It takes up a lot of space.

It's not even chuffing mid-November.

Please pander to us Scrooges a little!

Another one agreeing! I love Christmas but don't need to be reminded it's on the way before mid-November! Also don't want to see huge block of bright red at the end of a thread.

Adding another voice. @mnhq Christmas is triggering for some people, and utterly irrelevant to other people, and this big red box ad is bloody annoying to everyone!

Totally agree. All talk of Christmas should be in the Christmas board (which I have hidden) only, until the first of December. MN is very efficient at moving other things to special areas why are you shoving Christmas down our throats?

  1. Too bright/jarring/big.
  2. I have reasons to dread christmas every year and don't want it shoved in my face repeatedly.
  3. Its way too early to start with Christmas!

Another vote for WTF and please get rid of it. I thought it was a spam advert when I first spotted it. Plus as others say it just isn't appropriate on serious threads. No idea why anyone thought it would be.

I don’t mind it but I think mumsnet should be more considerate of people who have bad associations with Christmas or people who don’t celebrate for religious reasons etc. They can choose to click on Christmas related content but can’t easily ignore this.
Agree with this, some will hide the topic but won't be able to avoid it?
