Come on MN, it might be a troll but it showed the wonder or MN

The trans rights thread in Talk. Why delete it, it was within guidelines and a brilliant retort to an obvious troll.

We are now the Knights who say "Ekky-ekky-ekky-ekky-z'Bang, zoom-Boing, z'nourrrwringnmmm". Ni

Oh bring it back pleeeease. There are loads of obvious troll threads in Classics,why not this one @MNHQ?
Could there be a separate section on MN entirely dedicated to troll threads that do no harm?

Couldn't you just leave the post there and hide the first post?

I mean, other threads have more holes than a pair of nylon tights, so it wouldn't be unprecedented, would it?

Talk of trolls always reminds me of when DD was little. Approaching the old Forth bridge, I asked her to pass me some coins to pay the toll. She handed over the money from the parking stash between the seats, but then cowered in her seat.
I paid the chap in the booth and pulled away, whereupon DD said in awed tones “Mummy, was that the troll?”
The poor child had misheard and thought it was a troll bridge, as in the Billy Goats Gruff!

There were. Many. There was everything.

In a acorn shell what happened was, a poster started a thread with 'trans rights are equal rights'

The thread them immediately filled up with sayings and quotes. Such as

The heffalump ate my honey. Well actually, I did, but it made me do it.

It was lovely.

I agree, it was ridiculous to delete it as it was lovely. Happy and funny and exactly what Mumsnet is. Or used to be. There was nothing offensive about it and the OP only posted twice, stating his own opinion.

I don't see why it made a difference whether he was trying to start a barney or if he was a troll. He didn't manage it.
