MN very slow and keep getting this error message

Been having problems with mn this morning, it is horrendously slow and then I keep getting this error message as well
Not sure if it is just me
I am on iPad safari using desktop (because I cannot access the mobile site)

And yet mumsnet fairly frequently gets them.

They frequently get ddos'd because men get angry about women discussing things, especially to do with their sex based rights.

Well we do have quite a lot of legacy code (which we are working our way to fix) so there's a fair amount of complexity that some newer sites don't have and in actual fact we suffer ddos attacks pretty much every month - very few actually bring the site down like this one but it does happen. Even Google was down a couple of weeks ago.

All websites go down occasionally, but I've never known a website go down as much as this, nor suffer from as many DDOS attacks as this - or at least, DDOS attacks that have this much impact.

It's worrying.

Just says glad it’s working - refers to this morning. Mine is still not working. Maybe it’s to make us all upgrade to premium🤷‍♀️

Are we not supposed to mention whatever/whoever it is

It's a thread about politics 50/50 in fwr. Usually when fwr is mentioned someone groans and whines about having blocked the whole subject and why are feminists allowed all over the site/cant we stay in our lane etc. Its only my opinion btw that that thread started the DDOS, that thread got heated and it looks like swiss cheese now too. But the point I guess is still there.

Seems odd that the same issues have been happening for a few days, but aren't connected. Could you explain what was causing the issues in the last few days if not DDOS?

Same here, but only since this afternoon. Android phone and PC both doing same, brave browser for both.

What I meant by asking if the issue over the last few days were connected, was wondering if maybe the new release a couple of days ago left a gap somewhere that was letting things be more easily targeted than usual. Glad to hear that's not the case, though.

Hope it's all resolved soon.

Just chiming in that's I've had trouble today too. Both on the Ipad and on the 'proper' computer.
