First crack at a new quote feature - please check it out

Hi all,
We've released a new quote feature (finally you might say). I've attached some screenshots to show you where it's housed on site. Please give it a go so we can check it's working ok for all and across devices. We've taken the decision not to include threading for now - both because it would have been a lot more dev time and because it can affect the flow of conversations but this is something we can revisit in time if folks prefer. Please do let us know what you think/ further improvements etc. Big thanks.

@Lordfrontpaw

Awww but sometimes someone writes a post and you want to cheer (or throw tomatoes).

You can do this now instead

Aw, and I can't even replicate your Tardis, Binary, because it quotes a quote.

Please no like button! We're not teenagers! Instagram/facebook et al calls if you want that...or that other "lovely site" people keep talking about. I hear they have all the fancy buttons. We like old school with new-old features, let's dare to remain different

ProseccoBubbleFantasies · 26/05/2020 18:29

@ContessaferJones

Confused now (it doesn't take much)

I am on an Android phone and found it a bit hard to see the quote bit in my post...

Not sure if I've managed it??

@wowsaid

Whoever said mumsnet is too old to be the same as every other forum, most forums haven't changed since they began so mumsnet is no different

that was me.

it is old and bespoke is what i actually said, which makes the changes difficult
