Does MNHQ Check Our Inboxes?

Chillyourbeans · 14/04/2020 22:43

Just wondering. I received a private message and sent 2 replies and now the recipient has received a message from MNHQ saying the replies were removed at my request. Except that's not true, I made no such request.

@Raaaa inbox/PM’s are not available on the app. They are on the mobile or desktop site.

Sunnypeople · 20/04/2020 10:13

And what’s with all the Harry Potter stuff I thought it was all a bit ominous and creepy.
Is that admin? I noticed one admin sock account edited her own post and had forgotten to switch Grin

OldRumbly · 20/04/2020 10:08

Too many Admin-approved sock puppets creating fake accounts both to make it look like there's more new members coming in and to have backup minions. Creating threads in random forums to look busy, liking their own posts through their numerous sock puppets and replying to themselves on their own threads as different accounts. All a bit naff but they've all been friends from Tattle, so no surprises there.

Raaaa · 20/04/2020 10:00

I didn't know we had an inbox? How do you get to that? Grin

Sunnypeople · 20/04/2020 09:58

Hmm, well I disagree with you there as that Reddit sub is a whole new level of nastiness.
Hmm again and I am going to stop there as I don’t want to give the little darlings any more attention.

Anonuser1 · 20/04/2020 09:51

I've seen them naming and bitching about some users on here, so not so different to Reddit really,

ShinyLegs · 20/04/2020 09:33

'True! Classic kumbaya nonsense while knives are being wielded under the table!'

Grin

And why do they keep spamming here?! It's all a bit desperate isn't it.

Sunnypeople · 20/04/2020 09:32

The only screenshots I have seen are from Reddit and anyone who justifies what they do over there needs to have a good long sit in the thinking corner.
Mods are deleting anything about Reddit and leaving horrible posts up about mumsnet which is interesting.

It will blow up as it’s full of troublemakers and long term trolls who would be better off staying in their dark corner of whichever sub they came from.

captacurtain · 20/04/2020 09:26

It's fairly ironic that they are all spending their time going on about how lovely they all are but actually I've seen a lot of nastiness directed towards other sites (not just this one.) I've seen screen shots of peoples posts and user names from other sites and despite claiming how lovely they all are a load of them are jumping in to bitch about what others have said elsewhere. A lot of these posts seem to disappear after a while so I'm guessing admin deletes them? But I think they're kidding themselves if they think they are this superior and super kind bunch of people.

I skip between loads of different parenting sites as I'm on mat leave at the moment and I'm not particularly loyal to any. I looked there when I saw it 'advertised' on here but I haven't been encouraged to join because of the nasty undertone, their pride in getting banned from here Hmmand to be honest the threads there are pretty boring.

LawrenceMarlow · 20/04/2020 01:35

Thanks Bore that's very kind.

I've got it sorted. I asked the admin & mods of the other site to delete the references to my name and they did that which I appreciate.

It wasn't a huge deal but when you're dealing with life-changing things, deliberate unkindness stings even if it's about small stuff.

BoreOfWhabylon · 20/04/2020 00:27

You're not the one who looks foolish LawrenceMarlow. Far from it.

So very sorry for your loss Flowers

LawrenceMarlow · 20/04/2020 00:23

I've just checked and not only is my name still on the site but @yoloPenguinsEatfish liked a post on there twenty minutes after saying on here she was off to bed and will try and edit in the morning. So yeah, posters you were right, it was a fuck you response. She was deliberately being an arsehole.

LawrenceMarlow · 20/04/2020 00:08

I hope it amuses you and your pals Yolo that you've made my day that bit shitter by making a fool out of me.

LawrenceMarlow · 20/04/2020 00:05

I'm annoyed at being dragged into a poster's game-playing. I'm having a rough time during Covid as my beloved step-mother died of it yesterday. I came on here for some distraction and I get treated by shit by someone getting their jollies from creating fora wars.

Sunnypeople · 20/04/2020 00:00

Its like watching the calm before the storm over there, what a funny atmosphere brewing.

somebodyelseinstead · 19/04/2020 23:56

Nobody's sent me any messages Sad

And the only thing I've ever been banned from was the Brownies, but that's another story Grin

OldRumbly · 19/04/2020 23:48

I bet yolo couldn't do this on that site. Nooooo, it's back to fake kumbaya, stars and rainbows there. Here, the real self shows 😂 I like the real self, just dont pretend to be something different.

OldRumbly · 19/04/2020 23:43

True! Classic kumbaya nonsense while knives are being wielded under the table!

OldRumbly · 19/04/2020 23:40

Some users want to be banned from here (as they've written there) so they can run off to the other site, hands up in the air, waiting to be welcomed home after a day's work of getting banned from Mumsnet. More fodder for their forum. It's now a shield of honour to be banned here. Why not just gracefully walkaway if you want to, yolopenguins? Is it necessary to go to all this trouble? If I were the mods on here, I'll let you stay. No receiving badge of honour for you but feel free to fib about getting banned if it's that important! It's clear how desperate that site's mods and members are.

Anonuser1 · 19/04/2020 23:30

Very passive aggressive reply. But then the whole site has a very unpleasant under current behind the fake 'niceness'

I'd rather be called a cunt tbh and know where I stand.

LawrenceMarlow · 19/04/2020 23:30

Oh Sad

I took it at face value. I also asked nicely. I'm disappointed.

OldRumbly · 19/04/2020 23:27

@LawrenceMarlow That was a sarcastic reply you received above. The PP knows she can't edit that post after sometime. Definitely not in the morning. That's a fuck you reply

LawrenceMarlow · 19/04/2020 23:18

I would have preferred you to do it tonight but ok thanks.
Your post including my name was quoted by someone else. I'd rather she didn't have my username in her post either so please can you ask her to edit her post too. Hopefully she'll read this and do it before you have a chance to ask.

yoloPenguinsEatfish · 19/04/2020 22:57

I'm so sorry LawrenceMarlow I didnt mean to do that. off to bed now, if I can edit in the morning I will do.

OldRumbly · 19/04/2020 22:37

Admin obviously comes nosing around or she has worker bees who report their findings to her privately cos she knew of my earlier posts not long afterwards. They got to her so much, she slid down from her throne to report them to the 'masses' and scuttled back up. This isn't the first time she's graced the threads with her presence to slag Mumsnet off, she makes one or two posts then probably leans back to watch the 'chicks' peck at her glorious insight. I was put off the site the first time I saw her post on one of the Mumsnet threads. Never heard of such a thing! Thought they were better?! Wink
