@SagelyNodding

Chrome, android phone. It happens on almost every thread I try to read... I close the first pop up and there's another one underneath it... I then have to use the back button and start all over again (or give up)

Hello!

This doesn't look like an ordinary popup, more like a rogue ad. Happy to investigate. Please could you mail us at [email protected] with the following:

  1. Device and browser
  2. Where this is happening on site?
  3. The URL link that the advert directs to (you'll need to click it but if you turn off wifi and data, it will give you the URL without actually taking you to the webpage of the advert).
  4. Your county/geographical location

Its seems to be ok now

And that bouncing charity ad isnt there so maybe thats it

Seems weird though

MashedSpud · 08/06/2019 13:34

This is still happening and it’s kicking me off mumsnet each time.

Sad
NoWordForFluffy · 08/06/2019 12:25

I'm on the mobile site on Safari / iPhone. Latest iOS.

Berthatydfil · 08/06/2019 12:08

And again

Bastard pop up again!
Berthatydfil · 08/06/2019 12:04

It seems to be linked to the bouncing ball cancer research advert as it’s tending to happen on threads where that is on top.
If it is it’s a bit of an own goal as it’s making me much less inclined to donate

HebeMumsnet · 08/06/2019 12:02

Morning, everyone. Thanks for letting us know about this. We're looking into it now.

In the meantime could everyone (as many of you have already done) let us know which device and browser you're using, whether you're on mobile, desktop or the app, and also send us a screengrab if you can, telling us what page you were on when the pop up popped up.

All that info will help us locate the problem more quickly.

Thanks again.

bluebump · 08/06/2019 10:56

Yep, me too. Again.

Berthatydfil · 08/06/2019 10:55

I’m getting it. I’m on iPhone on safari. I’m a sky bb customer and my pop up is for sky.

Constance1234 · 08/06/2019 10:52

This pop up only ever happens when I am on mumsnet!

ladyratterley · 08/06/2019 10:18

Same! BT. It’s so annoying.

HeronLanyon · 08/06/2019 10:16

Me too. Iphone. Ad for virgin. Never seen anywhere else. Only pop ups I’ve ever ever had on my iPhone.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 08/06/2019 10:14

Im getting it as well

Im really pissed off

Its issue after issue which I appreciate isnt mumsnets fault, but is still infuriating

IHateUncleJamie · 08/06/2019 09:54

Happening here too, @MNHQ - “Dear Virgin Media customer”. Using Safari on ipad.

Can you email when it’s fixed so we don’t have to keep checking here and getting the popup? Ta.

SagelyNodding · 08/06/2019 09:52

Me too-impossible to read a full thread without getting a shitty pop up (mine is a French real estate thing) Android phone, I'm in France. It only happens on Mumsnet Angry
