MNHQ here: How would you feel about a Jordan Peterson webchat?

Hello

We've been offered a webchat with Jordan Peterson (his new book has a chapter on parenting, although the publishers (Penguin) recognise a webchat is likely to be more wide-ranging than that). We know he's very controversial, to put it mildly, but also as you know we believe in the value of open debate. So we thought we'd ask you what you think: would you like the chance to put questions to him and debate him on-site or would you rather not?

I'd be really interested to read this. Somewhat surreally, Cosmopolitan did a piece about him a few issues back and while I still find a lot of what he says unpalatable it made some interesting points.

I do wonder how he'd be with such, ahem, robust debate though.

I don't know that much about him but the very little I do know suggests he'd be unlikely to cancel at the last minute or refuse to answer difficult questions or postpone and then send in a few anodyne answers to questions that weren't asked. I'd say go for it! I'd be likely to look at it, and I don't think you'd lack for questions.

Oh my lord....that (alleged) narcissistic bully who is having a pop at Priyamvada Gopal right now for being critical of hi about the withdrawn fellowship that she had nothing to do with .... - latest in a long line. Well we maybe we could give him a run for his money (I can already imagine his pull yourself up by bootstraps stuff on parenting, so there will be no revelations) , but I doubt it would be pretty and there would be some unctuous fawners here too and it would turn into a right old fight. Could be fun.
