Keep getting directed to dodgy sites

Hi, three times today I’ve clicked on a thread and it’s opened another window, to a dodgy site. The last one was a “100th person to click wins an iPad” type of thing. I’m on an iPad with iOS 11.2. Any ideas?

This has been happening to me too tonight. The BT ad. Happened 3 times just trying to get into this thread. It’s very frustrating and making me not want to use the page

Getting it here too, fwiw I got it even while not actually clicking on a thread, I was trying to click on the three dots at the side to hide the thread.

Been using an Ad blocker (Ad Guard) and not had a single pop-up on either phone or tablet.

Shame as I rather like the Silent Pool ads. They're pretty, and they make me snigger because I always mentally remove the final letter yes I'm extremely childish
