Repeated pop up attempts

Today, while browsing MN, I have had repeated warnings that the site is attempting to open a pop up window.

I’ve never had this before - what’s changed? Is it legit? I’ve blocked each pop up attempt, so no idea what it is trying to open, or why.

(I’m browsing using an iPad mini, on Safari, iOS 11.2ish)

Constant blocked pop ups but haven’t seen that ad at all.

Three times today I've been browsing a thread on my phone (Android) and mid-thread I've been taken to a win a prize screen. No idea why. Back button doesn't get me back to MN.

Thanks for letting us know about this, we have hopefully blocked it. But we will continue to investigate. If you do see it again do let us know, and any info on the web address of the advertiser really helps.
