Where has it gone?

Damn, we can't seem to find the page you were looking for. Sorry about that - we'll fix it as soon as we can. In the meantime, try these options:

when I go to www.mumsnet.com/Talk/$talk_main_url/threads-im-on

thanks Bertie :) when I can find customise I'll try that Grin I'm on the desktop but on safari. It can be a bit different on chrome.

BertieBotts · 16/08/2017 22:19

If you're on the desktop site you can go into Customise and it's right at the bottom: Manage your list of hidden topics. If you're on mobile, errrrr, you're SOL. Sorry!

I remember loads of us did it back when the topic list started to get ridiculous. You were around then so it's not unlikely you'd have done it too.

BertieBotts · 16/08/2017 22:17

My comment was split over two pages which makes it harder to see. But yeah - I'd expect a thread I'd hidden not to turn up but I'm finding that suddenly any topics I've hidden from Active are being excluded from TIO as well.

That's a problem partly because I sometimes post in sections you can't opt in to see in Active but also because many MNers use the hide topic function as a way of reducing the amount of bloat on Active Convos as the site is now so fast moving. But it doesn't mean that you never have cause to post in the topics you've hidden, I just don't want to come across them casually while browsing for new threads to read.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 16/08/2017 22:15

how would I know?

BertieBotts · 16/08/2017 22:14

Have you hidden the section the thread is in from Active?

OhYouBadBadKitten · 16/08/2017 22:10

I've not hidden the the thread I'm talking about. It's just not showing. waah.

BertieBotts · 16/08/2017 22:06

Yeah, it's definitely hiding threads in the topics I've hidden from Active Convos! Because when I put a topic back in to view, the thread now appears in TIO.

Worth adding that when I tried on the mobile site earlier I wasn't even able to unhide topics from Active.

Everything else about TIO seems to be working fine for me.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 16/08/2017 21:35

I have a thread I'm posting on regularly that isn't ending up in tio.

AdaColeman · 16/08/2017 21:32

PMs seem to be back to normal for me now, clickable subject line in place and adverts just as a side bar.

Thanks very much MNHQ.

Hope that is enough for a martini for everyone!!

I seem to have some threads not coming into Threads I'm On at all - it seems to be threads from topics I've hidden from active.

Is that meant to happen? I know that when I hide a thread individually I won't see it in TIO any more, but I do want to see threads in TIO that I've posted on even if I don't see them in active. For example, this means that any threads in the totally-hidden-from-active sections like OTBT or MNers with SN just won't ever turn up, which is a bit annoying if you want to get updates on something you've posted on. And there are some threads that I'd like to participate in without having to have the whole section clogging up active - for example, I have no interest in 99% of the threads in Style and Beauty but occasionally I might post there for specific advice, or I might have zero interest in 99% of diet plans except this one thread I want to join. Or if I wanted to join a birth month support thread, those threads are so active (and again 99% irrelevant to me) that I definitely want to stop them all appearing in active convos, but keep the one I'm following accessible.

If this is a purposeful change, then are there any plans for some other curtailing of Active threads, like a "Favourite Topics" option? I think quite a lot of us cull subjects from Active like this but don't necessarily want to hide the topic entirely at all times.

I know I could just go manually into the topic to check if I have any replies on my post but I'll never remember to do that and also, it's really difficult to access the topic list on a phone.

fruitbats · 16/08/2017 20:29

Is it supposed to be a new design that only shows the time/date of the last post? It's utterly crap.

toffee1000 · 16/08/2017 20:28

Most are back, but there's one thread I posted on only last night that's not there. Hmmm...

diddl · 16/08/2017 19:56

Still unable to add to TIW & not all TIO are backSad

MachineBee · 16/08/2017 19:05

And working for me.

YesEinsteinsMumDid · 16/08/2017 18:38

For clarification am on a desktop with webesite mn and always used to be able to see the deletion messages from the tio.

YesEinsteinsMumDid · 16/08/2017 18:37

@LornaMumsnet - still no deletion messages showing. Have we lost them for good?

CountessOfStrathearn · 16/08/2017 18:07

TIW is only giving me ones on Mumsnet Local, not any of my others on the main site.

KeziaOAP · 16/08/2017 17:57

TIW back for me.

diddl · 16/08/2017 17:46

Can't watch any threads & I just posted on one & that hasn't shown on TIO!

bookbook · 16/08/2017 17:25

Seems to be okay now , apart from the display still seems a bit odd - double spacing and what appears to be a smaller font

diddl · 16/08/2017 17:24

Still missing a thread from TIO & can't put it onto TIW!Confused

EnidButton · 16/08/2017 17:18

Appears to be back to normal for me. iPhone, latest ios, safari.

So much easier to post now.

Slimthistime · 16/08/2017 17:16

from "Threads I'm Watching" on PC and ipad it's lost the format - double spacing, can only see a few posts whereas previously I'd see all new posts since mine.

Jux · 16/08/2017 16:58

Is pretty normal to me n too -iPad, Safari.

CoteDAzur · 16/08/2017 16:34

Formatting of TIO is all messed up. Fonts are smaller and line spacing is wider than before. Safari on Mac.
