Why doesn't Justine come on MN and discuss thongs

I love MN and have no intention of flouncing. I'm also not invested in The Thread That Must Not be Named, but ..

Lots of MNetters are upset/angry/confused about that and other matters. Long term posters are getting banned. Moderation policy is bewildering.

I remember when it were all fields round here Justine used to regularly engage with the membership. Can't she do it again, to resolve matters and show us we're still loved?

Even if they don't want to discuss the "thongs" that are upsetting people atm, it's weird that they (all of hq, not just Justine) don't post so much in the fluffier areas of the site any more. :(

I think Bertrand has it in one. I doubt very much that she has the ability to drop everything in order to appear for a Web chat.

Because this site is not a cosy little "sitting round the kitchen table in a cottage" thing - it is a big business with its main focus on its advertising revenue.
