Can we have a board for people to rant about trans stuff?

Because I'm sick of clicking on a thread in aibu or chat and seeing vile being sprouted when the title gave no inclination that it was another anti-trans thread. It's getting boring now.

The only part I do agree with is coming down hard on thread titles that don't even hint at content. That does do my head in.

AIBU to be annoyed by this?
Should I do this?
Can anyone help?
I can't believe this just happened
Where can I buy this?

Etc etc. Chuck us a freaking bone.

Women are allowed opinions , especially on mumsnet. Important legislation is up for debate and should not be shunted into a special board it affects everyone

isupposeitsverynice · 28/07/2017 13:16

Really? Because in my opinion what's vile is mutilating kids to normalise grown men's fetishes, but each to their own and all that.

Sallystyle · 28/07/2017 13:15

Some of the stuff happening is disgusting.

Unless you agree with a 13 year old having a double mastectomy?

We have a reason to be angry about how this is all going and we have a right to be scared about what this will mean for women and young teens.

I have seen nothing disgusting written personally. Except that one shitty thread. If someone writes something disgusting report it. Giving us our own little board to protect you from reading something you don't like is pathetic.

You are an adult. Use the buttons on your device and report and move on if it bothers you.

AssignedMentalAtBirth · 28/07/2017 13:14

There is no anti trans. What there is is growing concern for women and girls, children generally and also lesbians. But none of them matter right? 'Cos you are 'bored'

oldtrees · 28/07/2017 13:13

@HoneyIshrunktheBiscuit have you actually read any of the threads?

I've found them very informative and - for the most part - reasoned not hateful.

Xeneth88 · 28/07/2017 13:11

Completely agree OP. Some of the stuff written is disgusting.

MorrisZapp · 28/07/2017 13:09

Do you follow the news at all, op?

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 28/07/2017 13:08

Oh please....

In that case we should have boards about dog poo, bastard neighbours and parking.

Just don't click or report if there's something you feel breaks the guidelines.

Sallystyle · 28/07/2017 13:05

Trans hatred my arse.

There was one thread a couple of days ago that was below the belt. That should have been deleted.

The others are discussing our fears about what this means for women and currently they are discussing a child who just had a double mastectomy. If these things don't bother you good for you. Just press the back button.

Interesting though. Women aren't allowed an opinion on the new law they are trying to pass. It doesn't surprise me that some want us to have a little corner to post and hide away in either.

HoneyIshrunktheBiscuit · 28/07/2017 12:33

I avoid them when the titles are obvious but often they seem innocent enough until you click on them.

A Board for this wouldn't be good.

Just don't open any. Leave them to run about in circles of hate together

IHopeYourCakeIsShit · 28/07/2017 12:14

There shouldn't be any board available to promote vile hate filled rants about anybody.
If you feel all trans threads are likely to be 'basher threads' just avoid them.
