SLOW! It's so fucking slow now, I can't even get long threads to load any more

Let alone post on them.

It's beyond a joke now, vast swathes of MN are now totally inaccessible to me. Can we PLEASE sort this out?

Aarrghhhh! I'm also having massive problems with mumsnet. Am using the site via Safari on my iPad. Frequently only the first couple of messages on a thread will load then the rest of the page is blank. Sometimes the pages won't load at all. Really missing being able to use the site.

SauvignonBlanche · 03/03/2017 17:51

Got the page to load but not all of it and couldn't post.

Yes, skimlinks are no more. Justine posted on the Skimlink thread

SauvignonBlanche · 03/03/2017 17:47

I'll try again.

ClashCityRocker · 03/03/2017 17:42

Yup, mines been working better for the last 15 mins or so.

I also noticed that skim links weren't being highlighted - have these been turned off?

TheCakeCrusader · 03/03/2017 17:41

Still freezing and slow loading at times this afternoon on my iPad. Sometimes it seems fine and then..Sad

heymammy · 03/03/2017 17:21

May I tentatively say that things have been working fine for about the last 15 mins!

(Sorry if I've just jinxed it Gin)

heymammy · 03/03/2017 16:58

No change here...just had to open 3 tabs to get this thread to load fully. Now I can't get active convos to load fully.

Bluntness100 · 03/03/2017 16:39

Mines been fine today but I did install adblocker this morning, not sure if that's the difference.

cloudchasing · 03/03/2017 16:33

Nope, still the same, up and down like a bride's nightie Angry

Cornettoninja · 03/03/2017 16:32

kathrinemumsnet it's definitely froze again for me since you posted that update Smile

SarahOoo · 03/03/2017 16:28

I use an iPad and this has been the same for me too, it loads the page but I can't then click onto anything and sometimes the whole page won't load. Had to download the app to post here (much prefer the normal site to read and post!).

ScrambledSmegs · 03/03/2017 16:26

I don't have Adblock on my laptop, and it's hanging on all threads except for (weirdly) this one.

Safari, Macbook.

Phone is absolutely fine, thanks to ABP.

LostGarden · 03/03/2017 16:22

iPad, safari. No, no change at all. Just tried and it partly loaded and froze.

I'm using the Talk app to post this, which I don't like as much as the mobile site but at least it works.

Saucery · 03/03/2017 16:21

Seems a lot better for me now, thank you.

SauvignonBlanche · 03/03/2017 16:16

The only change for me is that I can't get onto MN on my iPhone now either. Sad

Am now on my work laptop.

Pinkheart5915 · 03/03/2017 16:13

No change for me ( using IPad)

Becca19962014 · 03/03/2017 16:10

katherine there's been no change for me.

PuppyMonkey · 03/03/2017 16:04

Oh no - I spoke too soon, it totally froze again, am back on the Macbook/Chrome. Sad

SauvignonBlanche · 03/03/2017 15:52

It's a no from me that's all I can get.

PuppyMonkey · 03/03/2017 15:48

Mine is a lot better (iphone 6 on Safari). Hooray!!

SauvignonBlanche · 03/03/2017 15:48

Oh xpost off to try on my iPad!

SauvignonBlanche · 03/03/2017 15:47

Thanks for that NanTheWiser I won't waste my time on Adblock if it won't work on my iPad.

Perhaps MNHQ are trying to give us an update but their screen keeps freezing? Wink

FfionFlorist · 03/03/2017 15:46

IPad and Safari here and echo everyone else's experience. Imagine MNHQ won't want to make the ad blocker advice widely used....the golden goose and all that.

KatherineMumsnet · 03/03/2017 15:44

Right folks,

Tech have just spoken with one of our ads suppliers, they spotted a script that was causing a long load on threads when particular ads were shown.

Can anyone now see an improvement in load times?
