Sorry but it happened again here at 1.14 am.

Boogers · 07/12/2016 22:30

Glad it's back to normal. Thought it was going to go the way of the mummy's, bubbas and huns for a while there. Glad you're back and we can say shit, fuck and bugger.

By the way, just wondering if it might be useful to pop something on Twitter if you're aware of site problems.

MistressMolecules · 07/12/2016 22:29

I had it earlier (windows 10/bt broadband). It was when I tried to open MN in a new tab. Had open already in another tab and that worked fine.

MsMarvel · 07/12/2016 22:16

I wasn't able to get on the site for most of the evening, but all back to normal now 👍

Soubriquet · 07/12/2016 22:06

Lovely thank you! Not had anything for a while so I think it's passed

Hello again. Tech tell us that traffic to the site seems to be returning to normal so hopefully this is a positive sign. If anyone is still having problems could you let us know? (Assuming you can log on, of course!) Thank you!

IonaMumsnet · 07/12/2016 20:07

Evening folks. Sorry about this. Just to put minds at rest, we've contacted Tech, who are looking at it as we speak and it's definitely not anything sinister. It seems there is a routing problem which means some people can access the site and others can’t. The datacentre company has confirmed that it's a problem at a third party company so essentially there's nothing we, at MNHQ, can do to fix it ourselves unfortunately. At the moment we don't have an estimate on how long it will take them to sort out but as soon as there is an update (or it's fixed) we'll post again and let you know. Apologies in the meantime to everyone it is affecting.

ScarletOverkill · 07/12/2016 19:52

I had this too

RustyBear · 07/12/2016 19:48

I had it just as I submitted a MN survey, so I don't know if it went through or not (though Survey Monkey said I've already done it when I tried again.

ShelaghTurner · 07/12/2016 19:46

Me too. iPhone/safari/Virginmedia in case anyone gives a toss Grin

DearSantaDefineGood · 07/12/2016 19:46

Yup I had it too. Seems to be working OK now though. Hopefully just a wee glitch that HQ have already sorted Xmas Smile

MaryManchego · 07/12/2016 19:44

I had the same.

Isitdown said it was just me. Lying bastards.

LineyReborn · 07/12/2016 19:38

Same.

Here are my pin codes just in case the hack isn't successful this time: 4321 and of course the uncrackable 1234 for my platinum MasterCard.

PrancerForHoney · 07/12/2016 19:37

Me too. It happened after I had to change to settings to upgrade the test Talk app for Mumsnet android.
I went onto ' is it working ' and it said it was down for everyone so probably just a coincidence. Unless I really did break the Internet! Wink

Yes, here as well.

Boogers · 07/12/2016 19:21

I though it was another Jeff attack. I tried to load for 10 minutes but it wouldn't load (obviously has now) but I have to confess I went over to the dark side for a quick glance and lasted one page of one thread before giving it up as unreadable twaddle. Xmas Blush

AgentProvocateur · 07/12/2016 19:20

Me too.

ExcuseMyEyebrows · 07/12/2016 19:19

I've had that same message a few times tonight too.
