Rules around banning?

TheUnworthy · 13/11/2016 21:54

Feeling a little nervous after the recent thread that went 'poof' and reports of people being banned and not knowing why/not having any deleted posts beforehand.

Is there a three strike rule? No strikes?

I think I'm gonna don my tinfoil hat, just in case. Things are very weird around here at present.

PhilODox · 13/11/2016 23:03

Wannabe? Shock
But she's been here years, and years. Confused Whatever could she have done that was so OTT?

AnyFucker · 13/11/2016 23:02

I was thinking you must be a PBP or goady fucker MsGame

But no...still none the wiser Smile

MsGameandWatch · 13/11/2016 23:02

I kind of think that the email belongs to the person it's been sent to but I am in no mood for a row about it so will leave it at that Smile

AVirginLitTheCandle · 13/11/2016 23:02

Is WannaBe ever coming back? Sad

PurpleDaisies · 13/11/2016 23:01

I never said it was new.

I assumed because you were asking whether it was ok to share emails from MNHQ on here that you didn't know that it hasn't ever been permitted.

bumbleymummy · 13/11/2016 23:00

People who have been around for years are more likely to have had a few 'off' times during those years. Seems a bit unfair to hold them against them indefinitely if they are months/years apart compared to those who frequently have posts deleted for breaking Guidelines.

AnyFucker · 13/11/2016 23:00

Oh well, Msgame Smile

crashdoll · 13/11/2016 23:00

I've been on MN for just over 5 years under various names and I don't "know" anyone, except for the names that I see frequently. I haven't seen any evidence of special favours but I'm sure we'll have the royalty comments coming along shortly...

AVirginLitTheCandle · 13/11/2016 22:59

I never said it was new.

Go well means off you fuck I think.

I'd prefer 'Fare the well ogre troll'

PurpleDaisies · 13/11/2016 22:57

Are you not allowed to share emails from HQ with the peasants public?

That's not new. To be fair, I think it's ok to expect behind the scenes discussions not to be posted in here.

Owllady · 13/11/2016 22:57

Go well
Means
Walk fast. Don't vomit outside my house

MsGameandWatch · 13/11/2016 22:56

Oh I'm outed anyway.

AVirginLitTheCandle · 13/11/2016 22:56

And now Teddy's post has been deleted. Are you not allowed to share emails from HQ with the peasants public?

TeacherBob · 13/11/2016 22:56

AnyFucker

Nope, I don't know Wannabe.

Was just joining the conversation. OP asked a question, I gave my POV from experience. Interesting you choose to pick on me (even though I have said the same as others). Not the first time I believe.

And no, I have no axe to grind, why would I?

MsGameandWatch · 13/11/2016 22:56

I'd rather not say on here AF. I'm sure you can understand why Smile

I actually think that the longer a poster has been around, then yes, the more benefit of the doubt they should be given in general. Someone's posting history should definitely be taken into account when mods consider whether to ban them.

TheUnworthy · 13/11/2016 22:55

Fair enough Iona, thank you for the Sunday night answer!

(Cough) you didn't see this taat me, right?

Wtf is going on? Confused

AVirginLitTheCandle · 13/11/2016 22:55

Just noticed that MNHQ signed off that email with 'go well'...what does that even mean?

Soubriquet · 13/11/2016 22:55

Trills I emailed because she was upset. It wasn't silly and I wasn't asking for an explanation for me. I was asking if they could please respond to her

AnyFucker · 13/11/2016 22:53

Wannabe is a regular poster over a number of years

Do you think she has got special treatment Bob

Are are you using this thread to grind an axe ?...because that wouldn't be very nice, would it ?
