Browsing mumsnet using the chrome browser on an android phone.

Opened a thread "www.mumsnet.com/Talk/_chat/2729635-Im-being-watched-WATCHED" on an "open in new tab" but the new tab opened with a spam advert page of the kind that tries to make you not navigate away. I presume this is an unintended hijack of some kind.

I copied the content of the navigation field in case it is of use to you but it seems to be gibberish.

This seems to happen quite regularly - what kind of info will help you to stop it?

Sorry. Happened again here too. Hope you can get to the bottom of it soon.

Tftpoo · 24/09/2016 13:57

I get these too. Always on a Saturday morning. Using Samsung J3 and Chrome.

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/09/2016 13:51

I've been getting this purportedly from /about virgin media.

MothersGrim · 24/09/2016 13:49

I was using it a fair bit this morning with no pop ups.

I've just had one 1.47pm

Sigh...me too. Not had any since I posted on this thread originally, now they're back.

Still Moto G, using Chrome.

DrinkReprehensibly · 24/09/2016 11:35

PS Android, Samsung S7 both Chrome and inbuilt Samsung browser

DrinkReprehensibly · 24/09/2016 11:34

I've had the same as WhereDo three times this morning, both logged in and when not logged in. If I get it again, I'll screenshot, but I did notice Amazon in the URL.

WhereDoAllThePokemonGo · 24/09/2016 11:27

Back again when I was reading the thread about cock-ups at work...s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/latestnewsandspecials/mobile/ZV3Xe92JqjcdkTZJPKuorDz.html?sid=4

More for me too. Android using chrome. Mobile site.

treaclesoda · 24/09/2016 10:42

I got the same as lookdown this morning. Really fed up with all this.

Soupandasandwich · 24/09/2016 10:41

I am fed up with this, so I too have installed an adblocker. I'd rather pay a small membership fee than to risk having my phone security compromised so often.

AngieMumsnet · 24/09/2016 10:21

I blocked the URL some of you have posted, are they still coming up?

shggg245 · 24/09/2016 10:13

Back for me too.

JoolsSchmools · 24/09/2016 10:08

And I'm back again. Sorry MN I know how important ads are but my phone/security are more important. And I've lost faith in your security. Off to find an adblocker.

Lookdownthesofa · 24/09/2016 09:46

Just happened again here.

Samsung s5 neo
Reading thread about decaf tea and it just popped up without me pressing anything.
