Browsing mumsnet using the chrome browser on an android phone.

Opened a thread "www.mumsnet.com/Talk/_chat/2729635-Im-being-watched-WATCHED" on an "open in new tab" but the new tab opened with a spam advert page of the kind that tries to make you not navigate away. I presume this is an unintended hijack of some kind.

I copied the content of the navigation field in case it is of use to you but it seems to be gibberish.

This seems to happen quite regularly - what kind of info will help you to stop it?

Just popping up to say I have had it a couple of times now through links I have clicked on facebook (reasonably trustworthy ones). Ironically the first time I came on to write this post another pop up stopped me!

Had this this morning but not from MN. I've now installed the Opera browser (comes with an ad blocker) on my Android and uninstalled Chrome.

I'm getting it several times a day when I visit Mumsnet using Chrome on my Android phone. I've switched to using Adblocker browser - I appreciate that sites need adverts to make money, but if your advertising provider can't promptly weed out malicious adverts which are an inconvenience at best, and compromising my device's security at worst...

Had a beautiful samsung 7 edge delivered today. The first time i tried to get into mumsnet i got the dreaded message. I wasnt even logged in yet.

It's back again Angry. Android Chrome. I was on the baby names thread about stealing friends name. Have had to shut browser and start again.

Android phone, chrome, not logged in, on AIBU. Serves me right for braving AIBU Smile

DH also got exactly the same BT pop up on his android phone this morning but from a local newspaper site.

Saw this thread again, thought I should add my update. Took me a while to get back here as I had to log in to post, which returns you to the frigging homepage. A small grumble but with ME, it's a bit of a drain of energy.

SO hoping this is fixed soon. Good Luck!

Pretty much given up on MN recently which his sad, because of this issue. Got it again last night, invariably within 20mins if browsing on MN, never on other sites.

Galaxy s5 mini , chrome browser, East Midlands.
