You never used to delete threads because the poster got arsey when things wasn't going their way!

Protect their privacy my back side. There was nothing to be protected

I wish they'd stop putting this deletion message because the second sentence is just not true

This thread has been deleted at the OP's request. (We don't normally delete whole threads but we will do so when it is to protect a poster's privacy.)

MNHQ constantly delete whole threads on the flimsiest concerns about privacy. More typically it's because the OP's proved themselves a twat and doesn't like the evidence remaining.

MephistoMarley · 06/09/2016 22:19

I thought the same. That thread didn't threaten her privacy, she just didn't like the answers. Deleting is very heavy handed.

ChardonnayKnickertonSmythe · 06/09/2016 22:19

The deletion message didn't say that Queen.

Soubriquet · 06/09/2016 22:19

If it was a troll then MNHQ will say so

This was deleted so to protect the OP's privacy

Ffs, the thread isn't.going the way the OP hoped. She flounces off and it gets deleted?

Right, ok then. Are there some new rules/guidelines which haven't been shared with us mnhq?

YouAreMyRain · 06/09/2016 22:17

Empress Grin

QueenSpartacusOfTheAndals · 06/09/2016 22:17

Could it have been deleted because the poster was a troll though? It did slightly reek of goady fucker.

ChardonnayKnickertonSmythe · 06/09/2016 22:17

Quite Soubriquet.

EmpressKnowsWhereHerTowelIs · 06/09/2016 22:16

You can read the poem I wrote on the cake thread if you like. It went:

It may or may not be the truth
That Bumpa's baby has a foof.
It may have two veg and steak
We won't know 'til Bump cuts the cake.

MistressMerryWeather · 06/09/2016 22:16

Sex, cake and MILs

There's the title for MN's next advice book.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 06/09/2016 22:16

Yep, I've noticed more and more deletions just because the OP's requested it.

PacificDogwod · 06/09/2016 22:16

Everything and everybody is getting more precious-y snowflake-y like. Sigh.

UnderTheGreenwoodTree · 06/09/2016 22:16

I predict MN will soon merge with Nethuns - and we'll all have to "Your bubs, your rules, hun" soon. Or we'll be deleted.

So as not to make this a TAAT, HQ - you really did used to state that you wouldn't delete threads just because OP didn't like the answers - and this was blatantly the case.

YouAreMyRain · 06/09/2016 22:16

^^ especially when you can name change to get over the humiliation

Soubriquet · 06/09/2016 22:15

This isn't just about cake thread

It's about all threads really

Why has their policy suddenly changed from not deleting to deleting on request?

OP posts:
ohidoliketobe · 06/09/2016 22:14

Was it the 'gender reveal cake' thread?

ChardonnayKnickertonSmythe · 06/09/2016 22:14

Sex, cake and MILs, Imperial.

justdontevenfuckingstart · 06/09/2016 22:13

Did anyone get cake?

SmallBee · 06/09/2016 22:13

I really want some cake.

This is the third TAAT I've clicked on about this cake thing. I wish I'd read it now.

gamerchick · 06/09/2016 22:13

Maybe they're fed up of people banging the same old tiresum bellend drum because I bloody am and I doubt I'm the only one.

ImperialBlether · 06/09/2016 22:13

What was the cake thread about?

YouAreMyRain · 06/09/2016 22:13

My first post was on AIBU, I got ripped to shreds, boo-hoo, I got over it!

That poster was rude and vile, she did a "middle finger" gesture to everyone who posted, she deserved everything she got!

Firsttimer82 · 06/09/2016 22:12

Yup... Maybe her MIL didn't read it before we all did and it upset her... Grin

Soubriquet · 06/09/2016 22:11

Yep the cake thread

Not the first I've seen either

OP posts:
UnderTheGreenwoodTree · 06/09/2016 22:11

Can't believe HQ deleted a cake thread.
