I am still Spartacus

Seems timely. Sadly still required.

I am Oscar, and I remain Spartacus. Really cannot be arsed to C&P or restate my position.... I shouldn't need to have to state the need for language to reflect reality in the first place.....

(Belated shout-out to seek for brilliantly using the Spartacus analogy in the first place!)

I do not have a 'gender identity' or a ladybrain. There is a current post on the feminism topic where women have taken a gender test. It recognises very few of us as 'gender-conforming'. It labelled me as an androgynous female-to-male crossdresser.

I'm not. I'm an adult human female. I'm a woman. But I'm not cis. That thread is proof that 'cis' is meaningless, except as a slur against women.

There is still no such thing as a female penis. If you have a penis, you are male, no matter what your name is, what you wear or how you act. I support your right to live as you want to, free from violence and harassment, but your rights end where the rights of women and girls begin. You are not entitled to their spaces, their awards, or their scholarships. You are not entitled to have sex with lesbians.

We are not bigots, liars or transphobes for pointing out objective reality.

I am still Spartacus.

I'm still Spartacus.

I still know for a fact that we humans are a sexually dimorphic species. The female of our species are the ones that can bear young and the male of our species are the ones that can make sperm.

Woman = Adult human female, as can be seen in any dictionary. One cannot be a woman without first being female, and one cannot be female without being of the sex that can make eggs or bear young, again, as can be seen in any dictionary.

Y-chromosome makes one male. With current technology, it is not possible to change XY into XX, which means it is not possible to make a male female, and therefore it is not possible to make a man into a woman. Surgery, artificial hormones, heels, dress, makeup etc only change appearance to a certain extent and do not magick a man into a woman.

I have medical and scientific textbooks, as well as dictionaries on my side. All of what I have said in this post is objective reality. None of what I said in this post is opinion.

I like MN and sincerely hope that I won't be banned for posting objective scientific truths, but if becomes a place where we can't talk about the biological reality of womanhood, then I won't be here for long anyway.

I am Spartacus.

OscarDeLaYenta · 01/09/2016 22:45

YY Alive. So glad your DD is feeling better now.

MNHQ - why do you count the feelings of parents whose children have transitioned and who may be hurt by hearing biological truths as more important that Alive and her DD? Your position indicates that you agree that transition is a good thing and that this is worthy of greater respect and accommodation. Why is this?

I am Spartacus.

WorkingItOutAsIGo · 01/09/2016 22:34

Still not cis and still Spartacus.

ErrolTheDragon · 01/09/2016 22:26

I'm Errol and still Spartacus.

I don't hate trans people. I hate gender stereotypes.

Cis is a term applicable to stereoisomers not to people.

ImMeMe · 01/09/2016 22:03

I'm me and I'm Spartacus.

AliveAlone · 01/09/2016 21:59

I am still Spartacus.

Last year my teenage daughter became confused about sex & gender. Some of the things she likes to do are often considered to be "boys things". Because of this she started saying that she was a boy.

She no longer feels this way but could have gone further down the road towards transitioning if she had been encouraged to do so. While transitioning may be appropriate for some people it wouldn't have been for dd.

It is very important that people understand the difference between sex and gender in order to support young people like my daughter.

Iggi999 · 01/09/2016 21:57

Nothing I have read has stopped me being Spartacus.

emwithme · 01/09/2016 21:55

Still Spartacus.

You want to wear a dress? Fine, do it.
You don't want to wear a dress? Fine, don't do it.
You want to wear make-up? Fine, do it.
You don't want to wear make-up? Fine, do it.

I am not cis.
I am a woman.

I am still Spartacus.

PorridgeHoneyCake · 01/09/2016 21:54

I'm not a cis. I am Spartacus.

VikingLady · 01/09/2016 21:54

I fence sat slightly on the last thread. I was afraid of being swept up in a rush of self-entitled aggrieved "ism" against transgender people. I was worried that I was becoming a bigot, just like the bigots I fight every day (because I'm a woman, I am ASD, have a child with SEN etc).

But reading the rebuttal thread has told me I'm not. And following the poster up-thread:

If you feel unsafe in male spaces because you have chosen to have a feminised appearance then that is awful, and wrong, but you need to tackle this by tackling male violence and entitlement, not by displaying that same male violence and entitlement by imposing your male body on my safe space

I am Spartacus. Too fucking right I am. On my children's behalf.

AwayAwayAway · 01/09/2016 21:52

I am Spartacus. I fully believe that women and women and men are men. Both can have all sorts of interests but one cannot become the other.

I fucking rage every day now that the women's bathroom at work is 'gender-neutral' but not the men's, just the women's bathroom.

NormaStanleyFletcher · 01/09/2016 21:49

NormaSpartacusFletcher signing in.

I will treat people with respect.

I wish no harm to anyone whether they be trans or not.

A man cannot become a woman.

A woman cannot become a man.

Women's rights should be preserved, including the right to call ourselves women, to name women's issues as women's issues, and to keep sex segregated spaces.

Cocoabutton · 01/09/2016 21:48

Spartacus still here too

WankingMonkey · 01/09/2016 21:45

I am WankingSpartacus.

I still will never bow down to the almighty ladystick.

My son wears sparkly heeled shoes and prances around thinking he is tinkerbell. He is simply being a child. This is entirely normal. This does not mean he is a girl. Meanwhile my daughter plays with wrestling figurines and wears jeans more often than dresses. This is also normal. My children shall not be swapping body parts any time soon. Anyone who suggests such will end up wishing they hadn't, I tell you.

Also as a final note, fuck cis.

Rattledickie · 01/09/2016 21:44

Still Spartacus.... never Cis

RainbowSnowflake · 01/09/2016 21:42

Still Spartacus.

I am no transphobe
I reject the TA misogynistic minority of trans people
I welcome gender critical comment from both sexes
There is no such thing as a female penis
Women should not be handing over our safe spaces to men

Lalsy · 01/09/2016 21:35

Still Spartacus. Sex is still biological fact. Gender is still a social construct that restricts us all, and oppresses women.

elQuintoConyo · 01/09/2016 21:33

Still elQuintoSpartacusConyo.

PoisonWitch · 01/09/2016 21:29

I'm ridiculously pleased people think I'm eloquent for this comment: 'Widen the boundaries of your sex. Do not dictate the norms of mine.

Originally it had a typo which the quoters have helpfully fixed for me Grin

PunkrockerGirl · 01/09/2016 21:28

Sad this is still going on. I am a woman. I've given birth to boys who would never, ever, invade women's spaces.

Sticking on a frock and some badly applied makeup does not make you a woman. You can't give birth, you will never have periods, you can't breastfeed. You don't have to take breaks from your employment to give birth and care of your offspring. So you can fuck right off out of our personal spaces. There is an 'essence' to being a woman which you, as a male, will never achieve. I've been saying this since the 90's and was told then that I was being unfair. I'm so glad it's being addressed now. I am Spartacus.

WaitrosePigeon · 01/09/2016 21:28

Definitely not cunty cis. Fuck cis.

WaitrosePigeon · 01/09/2016 21:27

I'm still all woman. I am still Spartacus.

I think HQ are hoping this will just go away and we will get bored.

There are keeping very quiet aren't they...

Justwanttoweeinpeace · 01/09/2016 21:23

Still Spartacus.

Also C&P'd a few comments from the last thread that I wished I'd been eloquent enough to come up with myself.

'Widen the boundaries of your sex. Do not dictate the norms of mine.

If you feel unsafe in male spaces because you have chosen to have a feminised appearance then that is awful, and wrong, but you need to tackle this by tackling male violence and entitlement, not by displaying that same male violence and entitlement by imposing your male body on my safe space.

Teaching children that there is right and a wrong way to be for their biological sex and that they can "change sex" by taking puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones is wrong. This is the crux for me. We must not encourage children to hate or mutilate their bodies.

Men make the moral code and they expect women to accept it. They have decided that it is entirely right and proper for men to fight for their liberties and their rights, but that it is not right and proper for women to fight for theirs. Emmeline Pankhurst

I am not 'cis'. I will not participate in this newspeak double talk which aims to turf women out of existence. If that makes me a terf, I will accept that label and be proud of it.

I find it despairing how much trans activists could have done for men. Instead of redefining women they could have worked for acceptance of men who are more ' feminine ' and challenged traditionally male behaviours
They could have done so much good.'
