Has it vanished? I was watching it but can't find it any more. At least I think so was watching it but now I'm doubting myself!

None of this changes what you did ilove. You stepped up to help out a total stranger at a time when you had a million other things happening. You can be seriously proud of yourself, MN is proud of you Wink. I'm hoping there's a good reason behind her reaction but none of it changes your wonderfulness Star

Btw; I have advance searched her and it seems she has deregistered entirely - she was called crapartist right?

Queenbean · 26/07/2016 10:39

Poor thing ilove, what you did was a truly lovely thing

How did Crap change your design in the end?

MrFMercury · 26/07/2016 10:39

I'm really sad because you did such a lovely thing ilove and it seems a less than grateful way to treat you. The bride just needed to let you know, you sound like you'd have genuinely been ok if she'd changed the dress after you worked on it. I really hope she comes back and talks to you if not the rest of us.
What is fantastic is the great stuff that came out of the thread for the kids you help. Nothing can change that :)

ilove · 26/07/2016 10:37

I'm off into real life for a bit, feeling a bit bruised actually. Ick, silly of me.

Ilovenannyplum · 26/07/2016 10:36

Ilove
You're lovely, do you want to adopt me?

Pootles2010 · 26/07/2016 10:35

Sorry didn't mean OP, meant ilove, obviously.

Pootles2010 · 26/07/2016 10:35

What a shame op. How are the kids settling in? Hope you have a lovely summer.

ilove · 26/07/2016 10:34

I wish she hadn't been - because I said all along that I didn't mind. And I really don't, I'm just sad that it's made me feel a bit crap, being blocked/deleted.

I'll get over it :)

bananapeanut · 26/07/2016 10:33

Shock I am surprised! What has been done to the dress ?

GrimmauldPlace · 26/07/2016 10:31

That explains it then. She obviously was worried about the reaction to changing it after all your hard work.

Pretty it is fine, honestly. I've seen through someone else's FB that she has indeed changed what I did, she looks amazing and really happy. I honestly, really, don't mind. I said all along that if she changed her mind or didn't like what I did to simply say.

There's no need for her to be worried about my reaction - I'm upset at the blocking and ignoring, not that she changed her mind. But really, it is ok. I'll stomp around for a bit - and not tell my DH because he will be cross, - and crack on with enjoying my time with the children I have here this summer.

I don't think I'll offer again though. Never mind :)

ilove the way you're dealing with this just shows how bloody fantastic you are! I, however, am furious on your behalf. There's many good reasons the OP might have deleted the thread/changed her mind about the dress/done a runner but absolutely no excuse at all for not sending you a message with a quick explanation after all you did for her out of the kindness of your heart. You're a better person than I.

ilove · 26/07/2016 09:59

Ah no plimsoles we just had the photos taken off. They were to go back up this week, but for some reason the whole thread has now been pulled.

It's ok. I still have the photos and can be proud of what I did.

plimsolls · 26/07/2016 09:58

I thought it was explained on the thread before deletion: she didn't want photos/story of her in her wedding dress up as she didn't want the DM getting wind of it and printing the story and the pictures before the wedding day. It was deleted very shortly after the weekend she went up to ilove for the alterations.

Sure MNHQ were discussing it with her on the thread too and agreed removing the thread to avoid the Daily Mail fishing would be a good idea. She did say she'd be back after the wedding to update everyone.

Weird about the removing you from FB though ilove but she may well have suddenly freaked and been worried about "internet fame" etc

ilove · 26/07/2016 09:55

Honestly, it doesn't matter. Whatever her reasons are I'm glad I offered and did it - if she subsequently changed her mind, that's not a problem. Obviously I'd rather she'd stayed in touch, but there's been the lovely outcome for my kiddies that I never expected, which is utterly amazing.

Tis all fine :)

VioletBam · 26/07/2016 09:54

She may have had a lot of reporters bothering her. I once mentioned a certain large establishment that I used to work for on here....I said I'd had a bad time there and it was full of sexist dinos. I was immediately contacted by the Daily Mail.

A thread like OPs might have attracted a LOT of press interest and she could have felt overwhelmed.

GrimmauldPlace · 26/07/2016 09:51

Oh I do hope the OP comes back and explains why she wanted it removed.

Humphriescushion · 26/07/2016 09:51

I loved that thread and thought you did a wonderful thing for someone ilove, and you did a lovely job with the dress.

Obliviated · 26/07/2016 09:49

Could she have deactivated her fb so no one posts wedding photos until she has her professional ones to upload or something like that?

Queenbean · 26/07/2016 09:44

She blocked you from FB?! Why oh whyyyyy??

Ilove you did a truly lovely thing,
