I'm not the most tech savvy person, can anyone help please?

Last night I was posting on Mumsnet and an advert for a sex chat site appeared out of nowhere which had a close up video of a woman using a vibrator on herself that completely filled the screen Angry.

How did I inadvertently do this? It was on the Louise Mensch thread, I followed a link to the tweet and read it, then went back to post my message. I think when I hit post is when the porn appeared but I can't be entirely sure. I couldn't work out how to get it to stop either for a minute, or how to close the page.

I don't want porn on my phone ffs! What can I do?

And of course, MN now hyperlinks it for you....sorry. I should have added a space in the url to break it up.

This just happened to me. Merrily reading a thread and off it went to something I really don't want to see Shock

woodenmouse · 19/07/2016 20:42

I got the spam about viruses too. It was difficult to close.

Niklepic · 19/07/2016 20:42

Samsung here too. Fake virus alert and the pop ups asking me to download fixes. Happened when opening threads in active and also randomly while browsing.

HopeArden · 19/07/2016 20:41

My anti virus scan has come up clean. Am using the talk talk antivirus which came with my broadband so should be reliable.

MewlingQuim · 19/07/2016 20:40

Had this too "tiny teens, big cocks"

Nice Hmm

DontBuyANewMumCashmere · 19/07/2016 20:40

Samsung using their Internet thing, not chrome.

DiamondInTheRuff · 19/07/2016 20:40

Sorry yes, Sony Xperia on chrome.

ShatnersBassoon · 19/07/2016 20:40

This just happened to me too. I was trying to go back to Active threads, and a porn thing appeared. Android, Chrome, mobile site. It was a site link, not external.

DontBuyANewMumCashmere · 19/07/2016 20:39

I've just had one too. I clicked on the blue bar link for 'Active threads' and got redirected to some rank site.

Ginmakesitallok · 19/07/2016 20:38

I'm on a samsung using Chrome.

WholeAgain · 19/07/2016 20:37

I've also had this one about 5 times today when clicking on a thread.

I'm on a Sony Xperia using Chrome, BTW.

DiamondInTheRuff · 19/07/2016 20:36

I was scrolling through a thread when it happened to me, didn't click.

Onlytimewilltell · 19/07/2016 20:35

I was just scrolling style and beauty and a teen porn site came up with a 'you have to be an adult to click here' type of message.
Never happened before and no I don't visit dodgy sites!

WholeAgain · 19/07/2016 20:35

Oh sorry. I started a separate thread on this. This popped up when I was just reading a thread. Not clicking on one.

ohidoliketobe · 19/07/2016 20:34

Honest MNHQ . We ain't clicking on dodgy links or owt.

RatOnnaStick · 19/07/2016 20:34

I got it too. mine came with a fake virus warning asking me to download some shot malware. Not bloody likely. I rebooted the phone and ran a virus scan which of course came up clear. As soon as I clicked on Chrome again the buzzy site came up again but I clicked the tab off and it hasn't returned.

ohidoliketobe · 19/07/2016 20:33

This has happened to me twice today. Not porn but some dodgy congratulations you've won spam shit that's a pita to close down and pop ups left right and centre.
Screen shots from browser history. Opened up as I was reading a thread not as I clicked on a link or anything.
Using Chrome browser on an android (Samsung S3 mini)

This just happened to me. Was reading a thread, didn't click on any link or ad ( a least not deliberately) and got directed to a site with a big close up of a penis entering some woman! Am an android. I run anti virus regularly so dont think it was already there.

BankWadger · 19/07/2016 20:30

Yes I didn't touch anything on my screen as was reading when suddenly my page changed to unwanted content.

Flowersonthewall · 19/07/2016 20:30
